if i was in your case at that time i would have !@$@#^$&**!@$!~%%@# (i know we are not allowed to talk in an inappropriate way so i cant say what i feel to say right now!)

it is so sad that people like him exist...
and it is even more sad that they own dogs as well!!!

if anything like that happens again, you should probably call the police,etc as stormkatz said earlier.

Does your dog park have a board of directors or anyone specific that runs it? I would call and report the "incident" to whomever is responsible for controlling the park. If you see him there again, get his license plate number to add to the report. Who knows if he has kicked a dog before or will again? I would probably still be sitting in jail right now if anyone had kicked Beau or Bailey. I may only be 5'3", but I grew up with one mean as heck 6'2" older brother and he's taught me a few things over the years. NO ONE should get away with kicking your dog! Whatever happened to stomping your foot and saying "shoo" to get a dog to go away? It doesn't always work, but it's a heck of a lot better than kicking a dog that's not even yours. What if that had provoked Mateus to bite (the only time Beau has ever bitten was when my brother kicked him to break up a fight with his dog...and I told him he deserved it!)? He'd be suing you when it was his own fault! Some people aren't even worthy of owning a pet and sadly that man has two.

Give Mateus lots of hugs and kisses from his friends at BW and tell him not to lose his boxer playfulness! We all know exactly what he was doing and it was NO reason to be kicked. He was just being his silly self!

I'm so sorry that Mateus had to experience that. Since I've had both Copper and Sherlock hit and kicked by other dog owner at dog parks (2 separate incidences, 2 different dog parks) that it why I no longer go. It's the owners, not the dogs, that scare me. And in the second incident my friend had to grab my arm because I was getting ready to use a dog leash like a whip after the guy that kicked Sherlock. I'm envious of you guys that have dog parks where owners are responsible and recognize dog posturing and barking as play mode.

I tell you what, if that had happened to my dog, that guy would be laying on the ground in a world of hurt. I'm 6'2" and weigh in at 235 lbs and I'm about as easy going as I can be but if you mess with my dog like that you are going to feel my wrath. I will never understand how some dog owners act.

Whoa. You two sure are good at keeping your cool. My bf wouldn't of asked any questions, as soon as he saw someone screaming at me, (even before he knew they kicked his baby) he would have laid him out. I'm so sorry this happened! I hope Mateus is okay (btw: I love the name). Really, report this guy to the park office and tell other of him so that if he returns he is "outcasted". Kudos on acting so mature in such a situation...maybe some of that can rub off on us :)

If it was me I would have snapped and beat the crap out of that man. I have never hit a dog and think anyone who does needs to be beat themselves.

I would freaked out on him and called the police!! No person like that should even be allowed to own animals!!!!
