Boxer Pal
I’m new to this forum and as such don’t feel it is yet my place to offer my thoughts at such a sensitive time. But I’m disturbed to see you expressing so much guilt. Dogs are generous souls by nature and boxers are among the finest of their kind. They relish nothing so much as seeing their family safe and happy. One thing they certainly don’t have time for is apportioning blame to others. Guilt has no currency in their world. And neither should it in yours.
Impossible as it to believe right now the time will come when you’ll be telling us all stories about your beloved Harley. You’ll think back and laugh and smile and sometimes choke back a tear or two. Just try, if you can, not to cloud those memories with such an unnecessary emotion. Ask yourself this - would Harley want you to feel this way? If I know boxers, I think I know the answer. And I think you do, too.
