Wow, I'm sorry to hear that you are going through all of this. I can't believe that your husbands secretary did it. And her husband is a police officer, didn't she think about his future and that this could cost him his job. I hope that you guys get through this. good luck

Dang Mandy, so sorry to hear of this. I think that is one of those things that you think your safe about. You think your handling everything like you should and being careful and then Wham....something like this happens. I would be devastated as well and feeling invaded and betrayed. It sounds like you guys have taken the steps necessary to hopefully get everything under control. We'll be thinking of you and hoping it all turns out well for you in the end.

I'm sorry, but no matter how often the little green monster named Jealousy rears his head, that's no excuse to steal, embezzle funds & open credit cards in someone else's name. I would think because she's had a hard life, that would give her incentive to try and achieve more. I'm so sorry you & your hubby are having to go through this. And what's even worse, the next secretary he hires may be a perfectly honest and wonderful person, and your husband won't be able to trust her because of the horrible things this woman has done. Hopefully there won't be any more fallout from this, and ya'll have caught it all. Good Luck!

Update...

Well, the investigator went to her husband first. I'm sure they wanted to know if they had a crooked cop on their hands. They are sure he had no knowledge, no charges are being filed against him. The girl made a full confesion that it was her, and that he was not involved. The husband was furious and is leaving her. He said they were already having problems and this was the last straw. She had a completly clean record, but they think she has probly done it before but did not get caught. She has 5 to 6 felony charges from us, plus the bank is pressing charges, and I would say the credit card company will also.
So far we are only out $50 to the credit card company. I think for the processing stuff, but they are covering the rest of it. The bank is covering the stolen money b/c they let them go through when the signatures did not match. It seems unreal that we are getting all the money back. Thank God.
We just got lucky that she was busted so soon. There have been more credit cards that we have found, but she had not charged on them yet.
I just hope this is the end of it.

So sorry for you and your husband. My mother is going thru this right now, she had to file charges against my sister. For my sisters own good she has a drug problem, but mother feels terrible

I am shocked at how many times I have heard stories like this in the last few days. There are alot of parents out there that this has happened to. Seems like drugs are usualy involved. I hope everything turns out ok for your mom and your sister gets the help she needs.
