Surgery went really well...
Hugo came through surgery and was awake and alert when they called us. The surgeons were able to get cleaner margins than they thought they could, the elbow doesn't leave a lot of room so we are thrilled by that!
They still think he will need some radiation to make sure that it''s completely gone but they expect him to be able to come home tomorrow. Our Boston Terrier keeps looking for him. The hardest part of this will be trying to keep him from tearing his stitches. And they are putting him in an Elizabethan collar so we're going to have to get creative for potty time because he won't be able to fit through the doggie door in that thing.

If he had to have a malignant cancer, this was the best possible outcome.
One thing I've learned from all this, if you own a Boxer and find a lump on them, don't assume it's nothing. My hubby said I was overreacting and Hugo just had a cyst. I went with my gut instinct and I'm glad I did.
