How much should a male boxer weight?

Chase just turned 7 months and weighs 43 lbs. Jazmine jsut turned 1 and weighs only 49 lbs.

if I remember right, my male was pretty scrawny until 2 years, he was as tall as he was going to get but he didn't fill out completely until he was about 2 years, so I would say that weight is normal, my boy is now 8 years and 75 pounds, he is the maximum height allowed by the standard, he is a big beutiful boy. but it took time to get there.

Monty was two in June, and at the time was just over 70lbs. He seems pretty big to me, he's tall but very slender with a deep chest. His sister is only about 45lbs and tiny so maybe this is why he seems so much bigger.

This is really valuable. I 've always tried to compare my dog's height/weight/ age to see if he "measures up." Although I've decided it doesn't really matter, I'll throw his stats in for comparison: at 19 months, he was 27" tall (legs are so long!) and 64 pounds. Right now at 21 months, he's 73 pounds. He just started to fill out and it happened like it does to a kid--a big spurt and then nothing. He still looks thin, though, and my breeder says her "altered" dogs usually don't fill out until they are three years old.

I would have to say to take a good look at mom and dad. They are just like people. Some are tall, some are thick, some are stocky etc...... I would say anywhere from 45-60 pounds for a female and 60 pounds on up for males. Sadie is about 48-50 pounds. She is just about to turn 2. The males are generally going to be larger. I have a friend whose male is anywhere from 75 pounds when he is real active to about 90 pounds when he is not so active. Some of them have real defined looking bodies......others are just flat out thick!!!!
