How is this for a sign??

I've been so wanting a sign from Cami only I had not gotten one. I was very upset about that. Then yesterday happened!!!

DH came home from work and shared a story with me. He was at a local fast food joint ordering lunch. He is inside in line and hears a dog bark. He thought it was odd since dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. Hears dog bark again. Looks around thinking that perhaps it was a service dog with a customer inside BUT still thinks it odd since *most* service dogs don't "speak" while working unless the job calls for it. After the 2nd bark he realizes that he is hearing it through the drive-thru speakers AND that the bark seems very familiar to him. He glances over at the drive-thru window and what does he see?? A beautiful fawn Boxer girl in her people's car who looked directly AT HIM and did her very best kidney bean. He said he got teary eyed but smiled at the same time. She was wearing a collar that was very similar in color to Cami's (unique shade of blue).

So he is telling me the story and I am crying buckets. I am happy for him that she sent him a sign. I was just a bit jealous if truth be told and informed him of that thought but still so touched that he got to have that experience.

I had a late bedtime/potty visit for a Cocker Spaniel last night. Head over to the house and get her outside for a walk. Take her back in only to discover that her food bowl was empty. She has been on a bit of a diet to I was torn over what to do. With the weather the way it had been I didn't want to take any chances on the owners being delayed on their return in the morning so.....I cleaned both of her bowls and added fresh water to one and just a splash of food to the other.

We played for a bit and then I wrote a note to the client informing them of what I had done (giving food without instruction).

I had also realized while out walking her that tomorrow (today) was trash day and they had not gotten their trash out nor did they leave me a note asking if I would do it. I figure that they were going to be back so early in the morning that they would get it out then.

Start turning lights out and putting my coat on. Realize that I forgot to hang her leash back up in the garage. Open the door and see the trash. Decide that I will in fact get it out for them so they have one less thing to think about when they get home. Open the garage door and grab the large container of trash. Spot the recycle bin and look inside and carry it out as well.

With so much snow there was very little area to put both containers on the drive and still be able to get my car out. I decide to put the smaller recycle bin ON TOP of a huge pile of snow. I see the shadow of a man and a large black dog about two houses away heading in my direction. Don't give them a 2nd thought. Start heading back to the garage. Hear a screeching noise. Turn around to see the recycle bin sliding off the large pile of snow. Run towards it to catch it and reposition it.

Turn around and....wait for it......

....the man and his BOXER are right there. I drop to my knees asking if I can pet his boy. He replies that "Baxter" doesn't have the best manners and that they have been working on him but not making much headway. He keeps apologizing to me for his "behavior".

I don't know what came over me but I started telling this total stranger (through my tears) about losing Cami not even two weeks ago and I have been looking for a SIGN.

Baxter was wiggling and enjoying the attention. He was so unbelievably large! Dark brindle hence me at first perhaps thinking "black lab" when they were a few houses away. I told him that I had not even planned on BEING THERE at that particular moment (not going to take the trash out originally) but that Cami.......sent me a little piece of Heaven. The man and his dog start to walk away and I thank him for helping with the "message" and that he should know without a shadow of a doubt that he & Baxter sincerely touched my heart.

She may have already tried to send me a sign that I didn't catch or wasn't ready for BUT....she then thought...."If a Boxer doesn't do it for you mom then nothing will!"

So not only did she send a Boxer to her daddy but she also sent one to me on the exact same day.

Talk about special! Gotta love my girl. She always did everything 110%.

Mommy loves Baby Cami!!!!! lovicon

YAY! That is awesome!! I've been beset by boxers too, lately, and I definitely think they are in collusion with the bridge. ;) So glad you got something special from your girl. They're always with us, aren't they?

You mentioned you will be doing a shadow box -- I hope you'll post photos. I'm going to do the same when I can keep it together long enough to make it into the art store and buy the materials. Don't think they'd appreciate me blubbering all over their framing aisle.

Susi, you have touched my heart again. I am so glad that you and your husband received your confirmation from your baby, letting you know that she is o.k. You are so good with animals, i wished that you lived near me so that Tyson could get walked and loved by you. LOL

It was definitely the SIGN you needed! Cami knows you couldn't go a day without some boxer lovin' so she sent them to you! A reminder that she is looking over you and sending love the only way she knows how ~ through the beans of a boxer!

It's moments of peace like this that will help you get through. Cami is right there beside you, guiding you until you can meet her again.

I am a big believer in signs. I am so sorry for your loss, but she let you know all is well and that Boxers rule.

That brought tears to my eyes but I totally believe it was Cami. She loved you so much and that love still exists just on another plain. Hugs.

Susi, I KNEW SHE WOULD GET THRU TO YOU!! I have tears in my eyes and love in my heart. I am so happy she blessed you BOTH, and you with a big ole boxer to hug and kiss.

The pain does ease and the wonderful memories will always comfort you. Keep the faith.

Oh Susi,

I have just read your post about Cami.
I am so sorry, I usually don't read the rainbow pages, it totally breaks my heart and I just can't take it... but, for some reason, today I did.

I was unaware of Cami's passing. Rest easy knowing she is at the bridge running and playing with all the other loved fur babies and she is watching your every move, especially when you are loving on a boxer that just "happens" by.

Hugs and kisses from Sandy and Napoleon...

I'm so glad that Cami was finally able to let you know that she is watching over you and that she is ok. I hope this helps you find some peace with her passing. I went home last night and gave Bella a big old hug and told her that Cami had finally let her mommy & daddy know that she was ok.
