Rocky will sit impatiently in front of you, no matter where you are. He follows you until you stop, then he'll go around you, sit down in front of you and stare at you all the while his entire body is all wiggly. As if saying.. "..must..have.. food.. body is.. out.. of.. control.." My little piggy :p

Otis will use his paw and tap at his food dish when he's hungary. Or he will use his nose to try and bump the lid of the pail that we keep his food in.

When he's thirsty, he'll use his paw to tap at his water dish. If we don't get up fast enough for him, he'll hit it harder and push it around a bit.

He knows which bowl is for water and which is for food.

Boxers are so smart!!

If I'm making the kids' lunches before I feel Aus he will go to his empty bowl and sniff it to remind me it's breakfast time. Like I'm gonna forget or something! Dinner time he sits and stares at me till I ask him if he wants his dinner. I swear these dogs can tell time. If he wants a treat he sits and stares at the bonie jar, and if I ignore him he grunts and scratches at the counter. Big baby.

Mugsy justs sits there and stares at me. He doesn't push his bowl or whine, just stares. Then I have to go through the list of, "do you wanna go out?" no reaction
"Do you wanna play?" no reaction
"do you wanna eat? Then the head goes to the side, the ears perk up, and he does one single wimper. It's so cute. It's almost like he is saying, "yea, thats it ma, I wanna eat!!!" i love it!

My older beagle, Bopper, will lay on her stomach pancaked to the floor wherever you are. Usually in front of the doorway you'd need to go through to get to her food. She mopes. She's so dramatic.

My two don't really do anything to tell me they're hungry, too busy trying to keep the ball away from each other. But I have come home some times to find that when I've left the dog food scoop out that it been taken to the living room and nibbled on. Like they know thats where the food comes out of, but can't figure out how to make it work.

Mason stares at his bowls, whines, looks at you, back to the bowls - this repeats over an over. If it is no where near meal time and we leave the kitchen, he walks to the edge of the kitchen and starts whining loudly!

Mason is a grazer at home, so there is usually always food in his bowl, but some mornings I can't get him to eat breakfast before we go to the park (I always try though), so when we get to the park, he'll do a few 'zoomies' around it and then play with his buddies and all of a sudden he will realize he's hungry and come over, sit in front of me and start woo wooing and talking to me - it cracks everyone else up every time! I usually have some kibble in my pockets just in case, so I'll give him a little, he'll go play again, and then come back, sit and back talk me over again!

I never thought I could smile so much at 6am - but life with Mason is so full of laughs!:p :p :p :D :D
