Ruby does a couple of things. Last night, we were going to bed, but couldn't find Ruby. We found her in the dark kitchen sitting by her bowl. She just looked up at us as if to say, "Well, are you going to feed me or what?"
Today, I heard her parking, growling and pushing her dog dish around in the kitchen. Sure enough, it was dinner time for her and I was late getting her dinner to her

What does your boxer do to let you know that he or she is hungry?

Adam will just sit there looking at his bowl. Evie is push her bowl around the kitchen. She will knock the metal bowl out of its tray, anything to make noise!!! Then, she looks at you so annoyed!! LOL I usually give her a treat while I make her dinner.

Kofi's a whiner..... She starts whining and looking listlissly and sometimes if she's really feeling dramatic... she'll collapse onto the floor as if she's fainting from hunger... I'm like Gimme a Break!smashicon

LOL..Xena will stare...at me..wherever I am...she finds me and stares! When I'm in the kitchen, she will lick her empty bowl as if to savor the remnants of taste from her last meal..very dramatic!:p Spirit is a whiner and nudger! He will go to the kitchen and whine then nudge the handle on his pail of food and of course I hear it and coming running in.."Is my baby hungry"! They have me trained very well!;)

So odd that this post came up today. Last night was one of the first nights that I didn't get home in time to feed them around their normal dinner time (5 or 6 o'clock). I didn't get home from a couple of clients until about 7:30. I was busying myself with the things I had to do and said to myself when I finished, "Whew! Just let me sit down a second and then I'll feed the dogs."

About that time, Susie comes in and does this "Lassie" thing (Timmy's in the well!!) She would come up to me, bark and then run to her bowl and look at it. Come back and bark again, run to the bowl. Her bowl is in sight of where I was sitting so I saw the whole "show." I had to laugh out loud and I said "Susie? Is Timmy in the well again??" :D :D She thought I was nuts.

Maggie just sits and stares at the cabinet door where the food is kept. She can sit there seemingly forever, just staring. I guess she is trying to "will" the food out of the bin and into her mouth!

So much for my sitting down for a minute. ;)

Clarice stares at me if it is breakfast or dinner time but if she wants a treat she sits and stares at the top of the fridge.

My husband tells people he taught her where the ceiling was and that is what she is doing. He says "ceiling" like she is doing it because of him.

Boo will find me ....He'll just stare at me ..his tail is going 90 miles an hour ....so I'll ask him if he is hungry ...then he'll walk in the kitchen & lay down where he can watch me fix his food ..he wont get up until I tell him "go eat"

I feed Tae her meals in two parts b/c she eats really fast. I have her sit and stay while I scoop out the first cup. Sometimes, if I take a long time putting the food away, she salivates so much she begins drooling :D I put her food down and say OK and she runs toward it, looking at me for a pat before eating. Once she's done with dinner/breakfast part 1, she follows me around and looks at me as if to say "where's the rest?" It's so cute. The first time I split up her meal, I think she knew she was due more food b/c she wasn't full yet.
