Congratulations! I'm 7 months pregnant right now myself. I don't think Magoo has a clue about it, he keeps trying to lay his head in my lap like usual but there's no room! And he definitly still tries to walk on me on bed, etc.. I just have to be vigilant and redirect him alot. Fortunatley he's not much of a jumper.
He likes to go into the babys room and sniff things out and was obsessed with the stroller when we set it up, right now he's a little afraid of it. I think we will practice walking with it before the baby gets here.
Even if your pups don't understand now, they will definitly get it when the baby gets here and will just adapt to the routine as long as thier included.

Yeah, one time I draped my black leather jacket over the baby swing(the arms and everything were sticking out) and my rottweiler thought it was the boogy man come to get us. I had to take it down (after laughing hysterically) because she was going to attack and I didnt want her ruining my nice coat or that $200 dollar swing. She was like cujo going after that thing that wasnt even alive!

Oh My!!!!

Congrats!!! Having a baby is a great experience...best 9 months of my life!!
I had an excellent pregnancy and I loved being pregnant!! Now I love being a mom to my 5 year old skinkid and my two boxer babies!! You will love it and I'm sure the furbabies will be great. I didn't have my dogs yet, so I can't give real quality advice, but I think setting up the nusery and all the baby smells is an excellent idea!!

Congrats on the little bambino in you tummino!!!!!!! i think your boxer babies will figure it out once you get a little bigger....... haven't been through it myself but when my best friend was pregnant Saffie was obsessed with he tummy and it grew and she lean on it and shove it with her nose! She dotes on the boys or her babies and we say to her!

Hi!

I'm pregnant now too, a couple weeks ahead of you (due Jan 3rd) and Lady seems to have no clue that anything is going on. She still treads on me full force and jackhammers off my belly. It's hard to avoid her "gentle touch"! I hope she gets it soon! And congrats!

Congratulations from us as well! I think they can probably hear the baby's heartbeat if they lay on your tummy...the problem is probably going to be getting them to lay there quietly. There are other threads on here about how well our furkids adjust to human babies, so you might want to look some of them up.
Congrats again!!

Congrats! I wonder about that too, but I'm sure that eventually they will sense it. My sister-in-law's dog found out the hard way. When they were laying on the couch watching TV, Bailey put her head on the tummy and got a lovely kick in the head from the baby. She looked at my sister-in-law like, "How did you do that?" and then she moved to the other end of the couch. From that point on she stayed away from the belly. maybe since Courage is so young it will take him a little while to figure things out.

It's be nice though since your skin kid and furbaby can grow up together.

Congrats Again!

Congratulations!!!!!!!! Our four were a little rough when I was pregnant but I just kept telling them gentle and if they went to jump I would turn my back on them, when they sat quietly next to me I would give them all the attention in the world. Now baby is home they love her as if she was their own puppy and she loves them. Boxers the best dogs in the world.
