Well I have found a 'sort of' solution'...........
I leave the kids bedroom doors open  and I would say that we get at least 3 nights comfortable sleep. (without upsetting Rocco & Lola)

Something has to change. I was thinking of buying a king sized bed, yet I think they would still be squashing us so I rather not spend over $1k to find out.

Oh they will! I have a king sized bed, sleep alone, and yet I'm always the filling in the boxer sandwich

Maybe put two dog beds next to you on the floor where they can sleep. Thats what we do with annie and she's fine with just sleeping next to me.

What do you mean by asking 'How do I kick my boxers out of bed??????'. I've come to the fact that my sofa is getting pretty comfortable to sleep on here lately.

We have many people in our household, and it has become common knowledge that at some stage during the night EVERYONE is going to have a boxer. Having said that,i have my pug in my double bed, and it seems no matter how big or small the dog is, you are always going to be on the edge! But after two solid years of having the phrase "GET DOWN" said to them, ours jsut curl up under the bed instead.

When Terra was little she was not allowed in bed (my husband's decision, not mine) and she couldn't jump on it, because she was too small. When she grew up she started jumping on the bed and my husband would put her back into her doggie bed, but when we'd wake up in the morning, we would find her in bed with us! No matter how many times my husband would put her back into her own bed, she would jump back in the bed with us, so he gave up trying and she's been sleeping with us ever since! We have a queen size bed and my husband's a big guy so space get kinda tight, but we love every minute of it!

yes, i think we have succumbed to the boxer sandwich!! ours weigh more than me, so they push my legs sideways (OUT from under the covers!) and lay across the bed. we wake up at LEAST 6-8 times a night trying to push them off, back onto their bed. we've been doing this for a few months now, but they are sneaky... they wait until we fall asleep, then creeeeep up and snuggle! i am a hard sleeper, but now we are trying to keep them off. needless to say, it's not working so well....

We had the same problem....when cahs was little we let him in our bed. Now he is big and it is just too squishy. We bought him a dog bed and put it on the floor in our room for him. We showed him that he was to lie on it it took a bit but when he went on the bed we told him " No on your bed" and we made him to lie on his bed. After a few nights of constant reminder he now knows that he needs to lie on his bed and not ours.
