Any new News on Lily

Amy,
I came across your thread, and was wondering if (and Praying) that Lily was returned to you. Please let me know, I had a close friend lose her boxer the same way you did, and he was returned a year later. No worse for ware, I am hoping for the same for you if she is not already at home.

Amy....sorry about the empty one......not sure what happened there......anyways........I work as an investigator, and sometimes I find a lot of useful info via the internet when searching for people. You didn't mention (or maybe I missed it) if you knew their names. If you do.......go to www.anywho.com. Do a people search. All you need to know is a last name, and a state. It will bring up all people who are registered in that state, with that name. Sometimes you have to refine the search and add a first name, or a city, if there are MANY people in that state with the same last name...such as Smith or Jones...etc. This information will bring up addresses and listed telephone numbers. Not sure if you are willing to drive there to see if your little pooh-butt is there, but if you are willing to pay a $1,000 reward, I am sure this wouldn't be too bad. I wish you luck. Keep your fingers crossed and don't give up.....Let us know how things are going!!!!

Hello,

You all have been great help to me in my healing. I just want to thank everyone again for the support.

I haven't given up complete hope yet. I still am praying that one day she will return. I do know the names of the people, but so far any searches I have done have not come up with anything. The people gave Kentucky ID's but Indiana addresses, so that makes it kind of tough. I will never forget Lily and I will never stop wishing for her return.

My husband and I just recently decided to get another boxer. His name is Rowdy. He is completely different then our Lily. He is wonderful, and has help to fill the empty place in my heart. It took me a little time to let myself get attached again, but really who can resist that boxer face. Lily was a mama's girl, Rowdy is more a daddy's boy, but oh well I love him anyway. He is so spoiled. I take him to work with me everyday. He is our office mascot. I don't think he has every been alone for more then an hour before. I still worry so much when we have to leave him for a short time. He is still a puppy, he is only 4 months old. He is a cute flashy reverse brindle. I will try to post some pictures soon!

Thanks again to everyone for your advice and support.

Congratulations on the new member to your family! I too will continue to hope for a safe return of Lilly to your family so she can meet her new little bro Rowdy. I'm so sorry that you and your husband had to go through this. I can't fathom the pain those jerks have put you through.

I'm glad to hear that you got a new baby. Maybe this will make you heal a little better. Not that he can replace her, just help ease the pain. I couldnt imagine what I would do if someone took Harlie. I hope you are doing ok, and hopefully someday Lily will come back to you.

I feel your pain!

We had a boxer puppy stolen 2 years ago and I still haven't given up hope. We have four boxers now, but I think of my Sumo all the time. I still check Petfinder at least once a week looking for him. I have a picture on my wallpaper at work so I will always have his markings in mind in case I see a picture that looks like him. He was only 4 months at the time but I still think I would recognize him (for one thing, he had a natural tail). Having more dogs doesn't replace your love for the any of the ones you lost, thank goodness our love only expands!

He was a beautiful baby and someday he may still come home! I pray that wherever he is, he is being well cared for!

Sorry to hear of your stolen furbaby, I jsut read your post today so I know shes been gone awhile, this just makes me sick to my stomach! I've done a search on petfinder and am listing a couple of addresses, these are probably not your Lily but I'm hopeful.

Its a shame that these guys are known crimimals & one of them has a warrant for his arrest, the police have his name, hhheeelllloooo, whats wrong with the system here? Its enough to make me want to scream!

I would like to start a "Animal Cops" operation myself, I love the show and I feel this is a MUCH needed service everywhere! And it would also be extremely rewarding. I wonder how I would go about starting this. I could begin at local shelters. Anyway, Dacee & I send heartfelt prayers to you & your family & give Rowdy hugs from me & wet sloppy kisses from Dacee.

I know that it has been a while since Lily was taken. Why don't you make a little trip to where these people live and post fliers there. Offer the reward there. A neighbor may turn them in. Since time has passed, they may hope that yooou have forgotten the incident. You could call inquiring about puppies. Ask if you could come and look at the mother. Worth a try.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I appreciate them and all the support. I use to check petfinder.com everday. I still check it often. I just keep hoping I will see her there. I feel that I am not sure if I will even be able to recognize her anymore. I am sure she has grown and changed so much. I have called many times to the sheriff's dept in Kentucky and the animal shelter there also. They all have pictures of Lily and are aware of the situation. I had even been desperate to talk to a psychic about it. She felt that Lily was still in Indiana. The animal shelters here are aware of the situation too and have her picture. You never know one day she might be back. I am just thankful for the short time we had together. She was our first boxer, and she made us completely love the breed. Thanks again for all the support.
