Congadulatioons on the bun in the oven! Im sure Rowdy will be a great big brother. He will make a super baby sitter too. Boxers are working dogs and I thing big brother/sister might be their favorite job of all. Good Luck.beericon

Congrats on the new little one on the way. Our first boxer paved the way for our first child. She was so good with the babies.

I just read your post for the first time. So sorry to hear about Lily, it must have been so hard.

Rowdy sounds like he filled some of the gap and now with the new little baby on the way, it will surely help fill the void.

Congrats with the new one - babies have a way of making everything alright - - they are such miracles!

I'm so sorry to hear about poor little Lily. My parents live in Indiana & I'm going up there Dec 19. If you still have those addresses & would like me to drive by or something, I'd be happy to. My email address is it is against BW rules to post personal email addresses , just entitle the email "Lily" so I don't think it's SPAM ;) I can't imagine life w/o my Athena & would be glad to do anything I can to help! I know it's been a long time, but better late than never, huh?

Please reread the rules here www.boxerworld.com/rules

Thank-you Athena's mom for the support. We both live in Indiana, and we have checked out the addresses already. I still am keeping up hope. It was just a year 11/18, and that was a really tough day for me. I just tried to think of all the good memories of Lily.

Your Athena looks a lot like our new boxer Rowdy! She is a cutie!

Thanks again for all your support

What can a person say to bring comfort to someone that has lost something precious. I have just been reading all of the threads regarding Lily with bated breathe hoping that at the end of all the threads I would read that Lily had been found. Lily has been separated from you for so long that I agree with you it would be very hard to recognize her. But I have always believed in what goes round comes round. Who ever has taken Lily has had a lot of time to grow attached to her and when the day comes that she will be returned to you (and I pray it will be soon) these people who have taken her will know the pain that you have suffered. Each boxer (and we have raised four of them so far) is so unique that no other boxer can replace another. But the one thing that I believe all boxers have in common is that ability to share their spirit and love in a way no other breed can. They seem to have that uncanny ability to attach themselves to every member of the family in a different way. Rowdy sounds like our boy we had for ten years. Loved Mom but really was attached to Daddy. I (Mom) spent more time with him but he was still daddys boy. Congratulations on the news of your new arrival to be. Boy do you have a treat ahead of you. Boxers llllllllllllllllllllove children. So much that even when you want them to obey you their attention will be on the children first. My first female boxer was trained in obedience and I could always count on failing in the obedience ring if a child sat close to the ring. Her heart would melt at the site of a child and the tail would go wild ... forget about getting her to do anything. Well I should go now and my prayers are with you for Lily's return. Mo & Jim

Amy,

I operate one of the boxer rescues here in KY. If you could send a picture or tell me where to find it on BW, I will keep an eye out in my area and Kelli can watch for her in the shelters also.
Mine: Helping Hands for Boxer Rescue

Central Kentucky Boxer Rescue: CKBR

We can watch the shelters in KY, and I also cover southern IN.

Keep an eye on Petfinders.com, you never know when she just may turn up.

Thank-you, I have already been in touch with Kelli at Centeral Kentucky Boxer Rescue, and sent pictures there. I will try to get one sent to you also. I was checking petfinder.com all the time, now I only check it about once a month. I am just so afraid I wouldn't even recognize her. I am sure her markings have changed as she has gotten older. Thanks again for the help, and I will keep up the hope.

I use to live in Berne, In. which is 30 miles south of Ft. Wayne, In.
Rex got got out and some people said they seen him get in to a van and I have sent fliers to all the vet's I can find in this area
and to Boxer rescue of In. and Ohio, MI. Good luck in finding your
