Still a tiny bit better
Duke continues to show a tiny bit of improvement every day in his rash. Starting out with raw and oozy cherry red skin and rash down to light to medium pink now with no oozy spots. He's hasn't had any beef for 3 or 4 days now, I think. Still just chicken. I have changed his oil from olive to a rotation of primrose, borage, wild salmon, fish, occasional vitamin E thrown in (I will be rotating these oils monthly or maybe every couple of weeks, except for the fish oils--I will rotate these daily when it is time for fish oils) and maybe cod liver once a week too. I am anxiously waiting for the Vitamin C and Wild Salmon Oil to come. Hopefully, Monday. Susan, I will be getting some Calendula to try too. We are taking him back to the holistic vet on Monday just to let her look at him and see what she thinks. I want to talk to her about his diet. If he can't have beef we are going to have to get him something else. I don't think chicken, fish, turkey and very rarely lamb and pork (although the problem with Pork is more me being nervous to feed it) are going to be enough of a variety. What does anyone else think? We are seriously considering ordering him some Rabbit and Lamb (Lamb is very, very scarce here in the grocery store)--place for paws and maybe Duck and possibly Buffalo from Oma's. Although the Apache Indian store here may carry Buffalo, but I don't know how much it would be a pound, yet. Paula
