I Read An Artical About The Miniture Horse That Visits Children's Hospitals. Of Course They Have To Give Him A Good Bath But They Also Give Him A Light Spray With Listerine To Get Rid Of The Horsey Smell. That Might Work. Just A Thought

The smell of cornchips? Could be alot worse. Get your favorite dip to go with the cornchips and bring that fur-baby in for a party!!

I was thinking open a can of bean dip and your wife will just think she at a party.

I too would be curious as to if the smell is just an excuse for a deep problem with the pup.....or maybe you

I dont think that Titan smells that "odd". However, we do daily brushings and also brush his teeth every other day which helps keep down doggy odors I think. We have several air freshners in the part of our house where the dogs stay usually. When all else fails and he really starts to stink I just use those bath wipes (look a lot like baby wet wipes) to wipe him down b/c he hates baths plus his skin tends to be dry anyway at times. Please bring the baby back into the house- he's part of the family, it's not fair to leave him in the tool shed----bad mommy and bad idea!!
I think someone is jealous of the dog---and the dog needs more attention than he's getting right now.

My sister's feet smell like Fritos....

Seriously...I shared a room with her forever and her shoes had to stay outside the door.

I haven't noticed anything but a generic "doggy" smell from Sally after she's been playing outside, but I'll keep my nose alert for smells like my sister's in the house. :P

I've been wondering about the bath wipes....are they worth getting? We don't have the patience for frequent baths.

I have to agree with all of the other posts-maybe you need to sit down and have a chat with wifey-maybe there's more to it than "frito feet". If that's all it is, there have been some really good suggestions so far and I know Boomer has a definite doggy smell, too, so we just vaccuum more frequently, spray Febreeze every other day, and light candles (that can even be a little romantic ) Other than that, just reassure your wife that after awhile, she'll get used to the smell JUST KIDDIN'

Fresh n' Clean dog shampoo works really well. I get the original kind (they have different kinds now) it's orange. It really leaves a perfumey sent on them for a long time. They sell it at most pet stores.

Has your wife been around the dog since it was a puppy? The corn chip smell is part of the beauty of the boxer! Their ears, feet, and sometimes just their fur kind of smells like fritos... or cheetos... but it's part of the allure in my opinion. If you just got the dog, and maybe she just hasn't got boxer fever yet... if she's an animal lover, she'll get the fever... sometimes it takes a while, but I think everyone gets it... don't they? I'm over at my mom's house right now, and there is no woman in the world more sensitive to smells, and who's NOT a dog lover than my mom... but guess who's chewing his chewy at my feet IN my mom's house?? My mom has the fever now and loves him....she has it bad!!!
Tough situation, but boxers are INSIDE dogs... how would your wife like sleeping in the tool shed?? They're like little people, and they need the same attention to a certian degree like toddlers do... you wouldn't make your toddler sleep in the shed would you??

The trick here is to win over your wife. Get her to love you boxer as much as you do. Maybe your wife is just overworked and needs a day off. How about helping her clean the house or watching the kids while she takes a nap or goes to buy something for herself??? Maybe take her on a date? Let her know how special she is to you. Your furbaby cant smell that bad can he? He needs to be inside with his family so somehow get your wife to see him as another child that needs love and attention and not just something that stinks and more work for her. Help her out more and maybe that will do the trick. During the week I am Rockys primary caretaker throughout the day since I stay home. Once daddy gets home he takes over. Come weekends dh is the one who really watches our furbaby, while I might get to go to the gym or spend quiet time while they go to the store. It works great so not just one person is doing all the work that comes along with raising a boxer. It takes a village.
