you should quit your job and open your very own boxer rescue!!

If I did this I would have to rescue myself as well and find a new home! My hubby loves me and tolerates my love for all animals, but at this point I know I am stressing him...the head count in the house is:
3 skin kids (13,7,3)
3 dogs (5,2,5 mos)
2 cats (4,1)
2 turtles (2 yrs each)
1 frog
1 one-eyed gold fish (Christian picked the only handicapped fish in the place!) :rolleyes:
2 tanks full of tropical fish!

Did I mention Christian (7) wants a snake for his birthday, while Eddie (13) is saving for a chameleon! I WORK FOR FOOD! Literally to feed my family! :p

Bea will not be able to have surgery until next Monday 6/19/06 :(
I am still hoping for a last minute cancellation which means fasting every night until at least 8:30 am for the vet to confirm all appointments. She is getting really good at being a 3 legged pup, but this worries me about how she may be losing nerve & blood flow to the area that is fractured. Everybody at BW cross your fingers for a cancellation this week.

Dora, you are truly an angel. I haven't been on here for a little while and just read this entire post, crying most of the time. I was so afraid when I read the first post, the part where she looked up at you with a look like she wasn't gong to make it was the saddest part. She probably wouldn't have made it if you didn't stop for her, she would have laid there in pain.
I definately think it was fate, I mean she is a boxer and all! I know the money can get tight but you are amazing for everything you are doing for this girl. To be honest, if her owner came forth now, I wouldn't give her back. I know accidents happen and they get loose, but where was her owner when she was hit? Where has her owner been these past few days? I think it was meant to be, espeically how Rocky and Mia are getting along with her She sure is a cutie. I am so happy there are people like you out there, angel.

Please keep us updated on little miss Bea, I will be sure to check in everyday now to see how she is doing. I hope you can find some financial help for her recovery. Definately a keeper Good luck.

edit: I just saw your sig. line, mommy to Rocky, Mia, and Bea...I guess that kind of makes it official now. I am seriously crying for you, tears of joy.

I almost forgot, Miss Silly Bea has discovered we have kitty's in the house! She barked at Coco today while she was grooming her face. Coco paused to look at her as if to say, Hey dummy I have been here this whole time! Coco has absolutely no fear of the pups in this house and seems happy to hear the childish yips & growls coming from Bea. Bea in turn gave up and fell asleep. Little does she know that as soon as her eyes close both kitty's come running over to lay with her! Silly girl!

AWWWWWW! You did the sweetest thing for Bea.... I understand the stress of adding a new pet to the menagerie that already exists. I did the same thing with my foster cat.... (the one that I decided last night that I am keeping)

I, too, am hoping for a cancellation for Bea! Poor baby.
