Hello everyone.
My name is Shawn and I am the owner of the goofiest dog in the world. (Aren't all Boxers) His name is Cash and I bought him from what I now know is a puppy mill. I had researched the breed a lot and knew that this is who we wanted to add to our family.
We had a friend tell us of someone that had a boxer that they were giving away, cause they had too many dogs. He was a very hansom Bright Brindle and was owned by a older couple. We went and got along well with them and BoBo and brought him home. They had spend alot of time training him and he was a mentally well balanced dog. About 4 days later, we received a phone call from the gentleman and he was crying on the phone wanting the dog back. He gave him to us for free, but said he would pay us to have him back. There was no way I could have morally asked for any money, so we took him back and they have sold there house and moved out into the country to have more room for there dogs. (To sell your house and move for the dogs is DEDICATION)
The next chapter in the search was to go to the pound and found a boxer mix, but he turned out to have problems that we could not overcome, and he bit my son, so he had to go back.
Then we had looked from Memphis to Little Rock and everywhere in between, for a puppy. We found a breeder close to home and bought Cash when he was 7 months old. We took him home and he had skin issues, which we were aware could be a problem in the breed, and took him for his checkup and he had Demodectic mange. We went back to the people to tell them what was going on the they gave us our money back, and are no longer breeding any pups from that blood line.
Cash was treated and is doing just fine. He turned 2 in August and fits in with our family perfect. He sleeps with my son everynight, sometimes I peek in and Cash is nose to nose with Conner. I will upload pics soon.
Anyway, enough with my story. I look forward to meeting everyone and getting to know people that love this breed as much as my family does.
