Once you get your pics up on the computer, find your picture editior, and resize the pic to 64 by 64... just looked mine up and it's 64 wide, 62 high (pixels) or 11.90 KBs Good luck

I can't wait to see a picture of Nitro either! If your photo editing software has a help section do a search for "resize" and see if that helps too. BTW, I've found a great way to keep 'em out of the houseplants is to put hot peppers, fresh or dried, in the pots. Also, you might want to consider investing in some Bitter Apple and coat whatever you don't want him to chew with a few good squirts of it (look for it at the pet store). It has worked like a charm for Harney, and not having to scold him for being naughty so often meant less guilt for both of us. Finally, I was really impressed with Nutro dog food for the first 8 months of my boy's life, but then I came home one day to find he had diarhea and vomit all over the place to the point he was pooping blood. He got so sick I really think he wanted to die. We (the vet and I) thought it was a treat he had recieved or something he had eaten in the woods or something. I'd take him to the dog park and he'd mope around, so skinny there was nothing but skin and bone, even the muscle disappeared under his dull coat. Other folks would see us coming and take their dogs and leave, thinking I guess, that he had something contagious. It was horrible. We battled it for over two months, nursing him back to kibble and then we'd have a reoccurance again. Finally it became apparent that it was his Nutro dog food. I tried a few different foods and finally (his stomach) settled on Wellness Lamb and Rice. I can't say enough good things about this food! He is so sleek and shiny and muscular now, alert and happy and just plain out gorgeous. When we go to the dog park now people seek us out to find out what I'm feeding him and just to tell me what a beautiful dog he is, instead of leaving as quickly as they can. If you ever decide to look into another food I think you would be really impressed with Wellness. :D

Welcome to BoxerWorld and CONGRATULATIONS on your boy! So great that you rescued him from that place he was before. It sounds like he is blossoming under your love and care. 52 pounds sounds about right for a 7 month old Boxer. Scrapper is almost 2 years, full sized and weighs about 65 pounds, but all muscle. In general, don't worry if he doesn't get huge, Boxers are considered medium dogs, size-wise. I know what you mean when you say you love the shape of their bodies - they are so graceful and beautiful, all curves and muscles, just a living work of art.

Good luck to you, don't hesitate to post if you have questions - you will get good advice here! Friendly people, too! :)

BTW, Nitro may go through a kind of "bratty" stage, when he's about 8, 9 months old or so. Don't worry, it is only teenage behavior and will pass. Just be patient. Boxers are so smart and intuitive, as you've already learned, and they really respond to love and positive reinforcement.

Hello,Was able to finaly get a pic of Nitro in the fawn section of pitchures(His color is a little lighter than it should be,Still learning this editing thing),It is the one I am trying to make as my aviator,He is a sweet boy and is starting to bark and make racket if he is net included in the pitchures we are taking.

I am curious to hear what more people have to say about Nutro dog food,I know my self I am mixing Large breed puppy 7 parts to 3 parts puppy lamb and rice-Nutro food,He seems to like it of course he getts it doctered up(Nutro canned puppy food ,or broth or something,Has to have just a tad of yogart-The little stinker LOL,But would like to hear some other opionions on the food,I know it has been around since the early 1900's but only hear in the USA for a short period of time,Dog food seemed to be real nice from my studing of dog foods as far as all the nutrience he should be getting with out By-products in it.Just would like to find the best for his health so he is hear for a very long time.He is our baby,Even though he has only been with us for about 3 weeks now,but would not take anything for him.
Thanks for all your guys support and wonder help

I used the photo editor and changed the image properties. I use corel so it may be different but corel was saving the photo in inches and I had to change it to pixels instead of inches to get Jeff and Rebas on their. It looks pretty scrunched on their but after I saved it to my desktop in pixel form it still let me save it regular size in my photo file. I'm sorry if I confused you.

You might consider using food for "medium" sized breeds rather than "large" breed. Boxers aren't really considered a large breed, and the growth and joint requirements of truly large breeds are different than that for doggies the size of our babies.

Hi! So glad to hear that your adoption has worked out so wonderfully! Nitro was so lucky to find you. In case you hadn't done so already, I just wanted to tell you you should check you the Boxer Traits thread here at BW! It is so entertaining and fun, and also full of lots of good info! If you go to the homepage, you can click on the Common Traits link under that adorable picture of the puppy sitting on the well used cushion, or you can go to forums and its under Boxer Ring, then Boxer Traits (the first one on the list), or click here:

Good luck to you, and enjoy!

Welcom

I hve forgotten about having a backyard. They have dug up everything including the grass. Be careful with chew toys. My girl chewed and swolled hard rubber chew bones and denta bones that were not suppose to be destroyed. She chewed and swallowed them. She had to have her stomach operated on to get them out. Big tug ropes are what I use now.
