Hello. I'm the new owner of Sassy, an 11wk old Boxer. We have had her for one week and 2 days. She is sooooo loving. We immediately put her in puppy classes. The great thing about her is she only pees outside or on her puppy pad. The negative is she poos in the house and rarely outside. We watch her but as soon as we turn our head for a second their she goes.
When we first got her for a couple of days she acted scared half to death of everything. Now she is acting like a true puppy, but only inside. When we take her out she goes back to acting scared again. We are trying to socialize her.
Wish us luck. With plenty of love and patience tho I'm sure we can teach our puppy the correct way to act.

What a good girl Sassy is about peeing!! Don't worry too much about the pooing ... she's still a baby. Just keep up the consistency and she'll get the hang of it! You might also want to work with crate training to help her get the concept.

Welcome, and enjoy yourself!

Hello Sassy, and you too! Maybe we should coin the phrase here on BW "If I had a dollar for everytime that _______ went in the house, I'd be rich!"
Keep diligent and good luck to you!

Boxer Booster
Hi Proppastyle

Welcome to BW - you will find this to the most fabulous site now that you have a new baby.

Don't worry too much about the toilet training as you baby is only a just that "a baby". My boy is 15 weeks old now and is perfect at night-time appicon but still a mystery at day-time toilet training. Not sure he why he goes outside most of the time during the day and then, just out of the blue, will go right in front of you on the tiles inside (when the outdoor is open right next to him). Anyway, I have decided not to expect too much after reading that many boxers took up to 6-12 months to toilet train. That is the great thing about this website - you learn so much about the boxer (as opposed to any other breed). I was spoilt with my last boy as he was literally trained overnight.

Be patient....They are worth every minute you spend with them!!
