Hello everybody!
My name is Valerie, and I have been a faithful lurker of this site, learning about Boxers for about 6 years now. Crazy right? Well, we are finally in the position to prepare for our first Boxer, and I have a few questions so I figured I would actually join!
My husband and I live in North Carolina with our four cats and a pitbull mix named Odie. We originally planned on buying or adopting a Boxer as our first dog, but when i was 'just looking', I came across Odies (then called Blue) picture and fell head over in heels in love. Drove three hours to get him from the shelter and the rest is history. My cats were not pleased with my selection.
They have since accepted the fact he isnt going anywhere and while 2 tolerate him, the other two will actually sleep with him. Odie is almost 2 years old now, and we think its about time to raise another pup so he can have a companion to run around the yard with.
I look forward to meeting you all, chatting, and getting more involved with the forum!
