Poor Rocky, it is a good thing that the police and the animal control officer were open-minded and willing to listen to you.

We had a substitute mail carrier who saw my Crystal sitting at the storm door safely inside the house, I watched her THROW my mail on my porch and run off. When I asked her about it she had been bitten by a pitbull and didn't want my pit to attack her. I told her Crystal was a boxer - didn't matter same thing in her mind.

The woman is a moron. She should incur some type of penalty for filing a false police report.

Kudos to the usual delivery person for thinking of Rocky. As he is the owner of 3 boxers I am sure he is doing it out kindness and not for extra tips. Seeing Rocky's reaction to his special pizza box is probably payment enough for the driver. I am sure that he looks forward to delivering to your house every weekend. I know I would.

We too have had ignorant reactions to people thinking Hurricane is a pit, although nothing like your experience! It was funny and heartbreaking all at the same time. Pits get such an awful rap when they are the sweetest dogs... as always, it is humans who have to go and ruin everything for a perfectly wonderful breed of dog. :( Kudos to you for keeping your cool and to the pizza place for recognizing the idiocy of their employee!

The delivery lady sounds like both a moron and a drama queen. You could try putting a sign out on Sat. nights(if she delivers again-I bet she won't) BOXER will lick if approached! Some people are so ignorant and some are out to make a quick buck! So glad the police listened to you! Enjoy your free pizza! Does Rocky get free bones as well?

Thats crazy we have a family in our neighbourhood that is the same way my pitbull attacked their daughter not!!! But there was no police called thank god

Since there is a happy ending, I suppose it's ok to say that I thought this was a hilarious post!!!! You are a great "visual" story teller and I could see the whole thing unfold before my eyes. Poor Rocky to be deprived of his treasured bone and THEN accused of being a maniac attack dog, LOL. Sweet boy.

WOW is all I can really say. Like some others basically said, it's a good thing that the other people that got drug into this were in touch with REALITY! On a serious note, I am glad it didn't turn into anything...way to impress the cop Rocky!
