Boxer Booster
We order pizza every Sat. night from the SAME place. The "usual" guy brings Rocky a dog bone in his own pizza box. I always thought it was cute. He has 3 Boxers of his own so he knows the traits and just LOVES watching Rocky get in the box to the bone.
Anyways, last night we ordered like we normally do but it was a woman driver this time. I had left the door open so Rocky could watch through the storm door. Down he thill came the truck and Rocky throws himself to the ground on his back and just starts howling like a madman. The pizza woman gets outof her truck and heads to the door. Now, Rocky is beside himself licking the glass door. The pizza woman throws down the box and RUNS back to her truck. I see her using a cell phone and I'm like what's going on....
Our phone rings and it's the manager of the pizza place. He said his driver called and said our "pitbull" attacked her! I was in SHOCK!!!!! He said we needed to put the dog away and let the pizza lady come in and wait for the POLICE to arrive so she could fill out a report. I told him no, she could stay in her truck and wait if she really had called the police.
I didn't put Rocky up. Call me stubborn. The police man gets there, sees the driver in her truck, the pizza boxes on the ground like 5 feet away from the truck and Rocky sitting at the storm door. I invite him in and he falls in love with Rocky. He asked me if he was the "alleged Pitbull" and I said yes. He laughs a little and I tell him what happened and that the driver never even made it to the front porch before she freaked so there was no way he "attacked" her.
He went and got her story (which wasn't much) and he said there was no physical proof she was attacked and explained to her that there was no pitbull around. She called her manager and left. I gave her the pizza back to.
So, today animal control comes saying they got a report of a vicious pitbull running lose attacking people. I told him what had happened. He saw Rocky, and of course, he said he would file it as a false report. Also, our "normal" delivery guy is working today and he heard about the story. He called us and told us we have free pizza every Sat. for the month of April. He felt bad about what happened and he explained to his manager that Rocky was really a pussy cat in dog clothing.
I just can't believe ther nerve of some people! I guess from now on I have to ask who's going to deliver my pizza and make sure Rocky is crated if it's that crazy woman again!
