Harley is really sick!!

She wants me to write down everything that happens and bring it in he is fine so far tonight when I came home from work he was standing in the front window and has been acting normal all night he rests but gets right back up. I boiled up liver and kidneys and both of them love them now Foreman is limping, so I have to phone back tomorrow to see if I can bring both dogs in. She must me getting sick off me. Hopefully he will get stronger and on Monday I hope the news is good.

The weekend went well and we went to the vets today horrible drive we are having a storm. We took Harley's blood work but due to the weather I don't know if we will get it back today she says he looks good his color is back and she felt his spleen and she said it felt normal. He does have inflammation in his leg which she will treat when he gets a clean bill of health I have the medication here anyways because Foreman has inflammation in his foot so I got it today. Both dogs are on bed rest. She told me that if his blood work comes back normal she doesn't think its cancer but the lakota I had him on. I am so hoping shes right. So now we wait but he is so much better.

I phoned the vets today and his red blood cells are back to normal appicon I hope this is it for Harley being sick thanks for all your prayers. I will wait for a week or 2 and then take him back for his leg, or at least phone her I have the medicine here I just need the ok from her to let him have it. He won't be getting all the cookies he was having either we now give him boiled liver and kidneys for treats instead. He is also eating his regular food everyday now (candidae) because of his bent esophagus he throws canned food and homemade food up because he eats it too fast.

HAPPY NEWS!!! I'm so glad to hear Harley is doing much better!! Were you able to get an answer from the vet regarding the Lakota? I've read about this supplement before, and it might be one that we should avoid giving our babies. High Fives to Harley from Grunt! :)

My vet hasn't given me a straight answer so I talked to my breeder today and she told me that there are so many things in Lokata that it would be hard to pin point which product made him ill she suggests Yucca for an antiinflammatory she said she has used it for years and never had a problem with an reaction to it. Metacam which is what foreman is on has alot of side effects and she has had intestinal bleeding using that product. Foreman is on it for 6 days and thats it I don't know if I will keep him on he is better and not limping. And now I am paranoid she suggests glloucosamine and yucca for arthritis. She also told me that the product isn't bad Harley just can't take it I guess she has done some research since and she knows so much. She has been breeding and showing for years, and has tested all her animals, rescues dogs and even from the states ones that can't be rehomed.
