Harley is really sick!!

He is better today we actually noticed last night when I went downstairs he came down stairs it seems when he eats a little to much he looks funny I know he has a bent esophagus and I wonder if theres something wrong there I will ask on Monday He actually stands for a while and has a bounce in his step and last night the clown face came out,he is acting like a piggy today, my breeder suggested liver for him so we added liver to his boiled chicken and rice and some pumpkin because he is a little constipated. I gave him the water from the liver that I boiled because he didn't drink all day but he is not dehydrated. Foreman is out of sorts so I give him a bit of Harleys food also. Foreman wants to play with Harley all the time and the dogs will be alone tomorrow all day I go back to work for Friday, Saturday, Sunday but dh has the w/e off so I think we will crate Foreman for the day. I really hope he doesn't have cancer we just lost Willy a little over a year ago to cancer really don't want to go thru this again. dh is upset we have only had Harley for 6 months we all love him very much but suffered 2 big losses in 2005 and he he doesn't want to this again he didn't want another dog but I had too, and then adopting a 7 1/2 year old we were taking our chances, but I would do it again, someone had to love Harley he is such an amazing dog. Thanks for all your kind words Im glad there are people like you who love there dogs as much as I do and don't think I crazy for being so upset over a dog.

Harley is not having a good night tonight he was good today and tried to play I had to stop him but I think he is jealous of Foreman and now he hasn't moved all night I can't even get him to go to the bathroom. I hope nothing has happened and that he just did to much today his gums are pink so there is circulation his breath is a little labored he is acting like the first day he came home. I am hoping when dh comes home he can get him up he seems to like he more then me. All of us are gone tomorrow I will be worried to leave him if he is not better. Now he is starting to pant really hard I think theres something wrong.

Please let us know how Harley is doing. We are definitely all pulling for him, with many prayers, healing vibes, and positive, hopeful thoughts. And I think of you, too, because I can imagine how upsetting it is to see your boy having such a hard time. Hugs.

Harley was better this morning my dh got him up and he went out and peed and poohed and then went to the couch he wasn't panting anymore I think he was hot I had a blanket on him because he felt cold he then got up when called and came to bed with me his breathing turned back to normal it was a bit labored, through the night, and this morning he was ok got up with me went outside and did his stuff had something to eat and a drink I then made him lie on the couch. I'm going to call my vet she told me to bring him in immediatley if he stopped eating or drinking which he hasn't I think he did to much yesterday, but I am going to get her opinion.

SO glad to hear Harley bounced back a little!! Great idea for you to call the vet and get her opinion on what happened last night - even though he's eating, drinking and pottying, the labored breathing is a concern. Let us know...and give Harley hugs from us.
