Handsome Joe was a bad boy at the vet's office today!!

Oh Cheryl I am sorry but I was laughing at the visual! I feel for you, I refuse to make an apt. for Oskar when hubby can't go with me! Oskar doesn't understand that not everyone likes 80# of muscle jumping on them! He thinks everyone wants to give him love! Poor Handsome Joe, I hope the thorn comes out and there's no problems!
Oh and Joe, BTW when Mommy used both your first AND middle name you better sit stay like you've never sat and stayed!

Cheryl, when I saw your post, I thought, "No way...not Joe", being the sweetie that he is! :p After reading though, I had to chuckle, the visual and all..ya know! Poor Joe was acting like the lion with the thorn in his paw! Geez..that's gotta hurt! I agree with lilrish...I think Joe could use the shot of vodka too before his next visit to the vets! You take two for yourself!

I'm pretty sure that you've gotten the message that you aren't alone in your bad vet visit experience, but I thought I'd add one more story to confirm

Gus too does not like to be examined by the vet...he loves the vet and licks his hands and wags his nub when he sees him, but if the vet tries to hold Gus's paws or look into his eyes or ears he growls and has snapped. Therefore Gus has a red dot (could bite) on his chart :(

Oh no....Poor Handsome Joseph Michael. I know that had to hurt. If they were pressing and squeezing around on it when it was already red and swollen...I know it hurt. Bless his heart...I'd have probably tried to bite them too. Let me know what time he has to go back on Friday and I'll have a shot of vodka with you...just to show my support of course! :D You hug that handsome boy for me.

Oh poor Handsome Joe. I hope his owie is better soon.

If it is any consolation, I am truly afraid to take my 80 lb. love bug back to the same vet. The last time I took Tyson to the vet he was doing his usual "under body" check and Tyson did not like that a bit. Now I fear he will have to be muzzled. Tyson seems to remember that this is the man who cropped his tail (ouch) and made him less of a man (double ouch) and does not like him a bit.

Oh Geez Cheryl, I can just see it now...Friday morning walking into the vet's office bottle in hand and everyone doing shots! Too funny!

OMG you guys are just too funny. I do feel so much better that I'm not alone when it comes to our babies turning into beasts at the vets! We have been soaking Joe's paw faithfully, hoping that will help. Of course the first time I soaked it, I soaked the wrong paw! (For 5 minutes I might add) Can you tell how stressed I was?? Debbie, he goes in at 8:30 AM Friday.I do believe that is 6:30 your time so you will need to set your alarm to drink with me! Joe was a little nervous of what his Auntie Debbie would think of his behavior. Then I just started telling him all about your babies, and well, need I say more? I'll let everybody know what happens Friday.
