Halloween Party...now I'm stressed

So I host a Halloween Party the Saturday before Halloween every year. I was right on with the invitations this year 30 days in advance, but really haven't done much else. I made the menu, went shopping...but that's it, and the party is tomorrow! I forgot to mention that we have 85 people scheduled to come...speaking of which, if anyone is close to me, Hermosa Beach, CA - and you don't have any plans and would like to come, come on over, the more the merrier I say! PM and I'll send you the details. Sorry just needed to get it out - need to make a new list of items, I make everything homemade so I guess that's why I'm stressing out. Needless to say I'm leaving work early today.

I am so with you!! I too am having a Halloween Party tomorrow night and the stress level is rising. My "pay the bills" job and rescue has been keeping me hopping this month. Originally I was going to forgo the party this year, but at the last minute (two weeks ago) decided I needed to do something fun.

I can't leave work early today because my assistant is out of the office today.

Thank goodness I only expect about 25 or so people, but the house still has to be clean, right?

I have not even decorated the house yet. Tonight and tomorrow are going to be really long days. I heard my DH say he was fishing tomorrow and I was like "Are you INSANE?" I don't think so. He's in charge of picking up the hay bales and pumpkins for decorating.

Clean house - OMG - another thing to add to the list...decorating too. Why oh why did I procrastinate this year! Just kidding - actually I decorated for fall September 18th I just need to put up a few Halloween decorations and make the centerpiece for the tables. Luckily the cleaning lady week fell on this week (hmmm, wonder if I planned that a while ago), so I only have to wash the deck, pick up Clover's toys (right, like she'll let me do that), and do a general pick up sweep through the house.

We've had lots of rain and my hay bales have now grown grass, it's kinda cute - need to pick up some new ones though.

I'm trying to make a "to do" list for tonight and tomorrow, but so far no luck the phone won't stop ringing!!! Well I guess I can side with your husband, everyone thinks I'm crazy, but the Ohio State Buckeye game is on at 9am, and since I'm on the west cost it's not on TV so we must go to the bar to watch it...LOL - that means I must spend an extra 3 - 4 hours tonight getting ready!

Wow...I give you ladies so much credit for having parties. My house was built for entertaining (note..I didn't build it) and I never entertain because I get so nervous! I am SO bad that when my husband wants to have someone over he tells me I only have to have to house ready and he will do the rest. And he does. He will grocery shop and BBQ and everything else. In my next life,
I promise to entertain more! Have fun and I wish I was in CA so I could pop on over to say "Hi."

Well, I managed to get the Horror Movie Trivia contest questions done and copied while at the office tomorrow. So that's one less thing I'll have to do today. DH is griping about having to get the hay bale and pumpkins. I told him to suck it up or he was going to become part of the gory Halloween decor (coffin included). Hmmmm maybe I SHOULD be a witch this year after all.

Ooooo off to call Albertsons now since I forgot to order the veggie tray with all the other food yesterday.
