Finnegan is the same, he usually has his kong in the crate with him so when I put my key in the door I can see him standing in his crate with his kong in his mouth and butt wiggling. And if he doesn't have a toy in his crate with him he goes nuts till he can find something to put in his mouth. Its too funny. But he also does it when people come to visit or just about anytime he gets excited about something. When ever I ask them if they want to go outside he has to get a toy in his mouth before he goes out :) LOL

I wish I knew what it was about.

Roxy does this to....when she gets really excited...she will search for the perfect toy....they are all tooo funny !!!!!

Farley does this usually just when I've sat down to peacefully watch TV for a minute. He gets annoyed that I'm not paying attention to him and he picks up a toy, brings it over and then backs into my legs with his butt. I don't know why he has to approach me this way, but it's really funny. It's like he wants me to grab the toy, but he's really not sure he wants to let it go.

Vegas does the same thing. It has to be just right! Sometimes it's his rope, sometimes his flying squirrel, sometimes his bone. Everytime it's different.

Maggie's Mommy

Add Maggie to the "does it, too" list. She's crated while we're at work and school, so when we enter the house, unlock the crate door - she grabs either Fluffy Puppy, Timmy Turtle, or Rope Dog and beans herself all the way to the door for her "I gotta potty" routine. Sometimes, she's so excited that mommy, daddy, or her brothers are home, that she forgets to drop her toy before heading outside to potty. Between the beaning and the toy greeting, I usually don't get but about 1 foot inside the door until Mags has finished with her greetings.

Tae does this, too! When I arrive home, she does lots of wiggling, then she grabs her kong. She only gets the kong, which has been stuffed and frozen, when I go to work. By 5:30 PM, it is clean as a whistle. She picks it up and runs all over with it in her mouth. So cute!

Samson Boo

Samson does the exact same thing when we come home. He gets whatever toy is closest and runs around kidney beaning. If there are no toys around, he jumps up and bites at our hands. Needless to say, I always encourage him to get a toy!

Oh, yes!

I see you also have a boxer named Titus! Well, my Titus and Lady both do the same thing. When I get home from work, they are jumping, beaning and burning, then have to each run and get a toy and tear through the house and yard with it. It's just precious to come home to. Almost makes the hassles at work worth it!

Gunner does this on a daily basis. Usually when we come home from being out. We call this the "offering".. even if it's a sock.. he'll pick it up in his mouth and come up to us beaning and grunting with his offering. It's so cute.

Quinsi doesn't do it yet. The female pug mix that we used to have picked up on this habit from Gunner and she did it as well.. sometimes they would fight over the same toy to offer to us!
