No one has ever said anything to me... to my face. My sister worked for a lady out in VA that raised and showed boxers...she told my sister that I babied Lacey too much. Now, what do you think of that one? BTW I don't know that person's name. She was an elderly lady. There may be certain circumstances that maybe babying too much isn't a good thing. I'm not an expert with animals. All I know is that Lacey is one very spoiled boxer!

I usually just smile and say, "Yep!" - I just don't understand the reasoning behind the comments! I had a friend of a friend (who is a dog trainer) tell me to ignore my dog and not look at him when he wants attention! HELLO?!!? Then why did I get a dog? Luckily, Myles is spoiled by everyone in my family, including my parents and brother. We would be shot if we ever thought of coming to their house without their "grandpuppy"!

I would just tell them that it is all part of the bonding process, necessary to ensure a well rounded psycologically (sp?) sound boxer (if that is possible :D ) that will be socially acceptable in it's adult years to this human society that some refer to as a sane society Then walk away

I would say "I'm just trying to be the person my dog thinks I am". Or another good one would be "Shhhh, he/she doesn't know she's a dog!!" OR "Should all dogs be so lucky!" OR "Are you jealous? My dog gets more attention than you?"

Hi Apoor. I noticed that you live in Wilmington, NC. My brother lives in Wilmington as well and he also has a boxer!!! There are tons of boxer owners in that area!

Everyone always tells me my dog is spoiled. I reply with, "so?" my buddy is all I have!!! There are pictures of him all over my desks and walls at work.

You'll get used to the remarks! I just smile and say I KNOW!!!

Spoiled?

I always tell people this: spoil a kid and spoil a boxer. The kid will turn on you first.

Everyone tells me I spoil my animals too much also. I have also been told "Jaimie, It is only an animal! Not in my book! They are my children and I treat them like it. I always baby my furbabies and nobody understands BUT... One thing I have to say is how much I get told my Boxers are extremely well behaved. Wish my kids were. :p Oh, well not all my "kids" can be perfect. As far as telling people what you think. I always just say that is why I have a boxer, at least they appreciate the spoiling.
