Boxer Pal
Whenever I have my puppy (10 months) around certain people (in particular my coworkers) I am always told, "you baby that dog too much", "don't you realize he's just a dog", "he's so spoiled", etc, etc, etc.
I am wondering if anyone has a good response for these comments? Cody is the sweetest dog ever, he's full of boxer puppy energy, but he's super friendly, and (for the most part) well behaved. I would never take him to somewhere he wasn't welcome (ie: someone's dog-free house) but these comments are made when we're all walking our dogs on the beach or something.
It really frustrates me because I feel like we're raising him well--and of course he's spoiled, how can you not spoil a cutie pie boxer?! I don't tell them that I think they're mean for leaving their dogs in the garage or backyard even when it's snowing.
Anyone been in this situation and come up with a good way to handle it?
