Well it all started about 1 in the morning this morning as GDOGS came over to my side of the bed and woke me up to go outside.which is not unusual but i got up and let him out and he was out for about 20 minutes or so and came back in and we both went back to bed then not even a half hour later he woke me again so i started to wonder what was going on so i watched him from the bathroom window and noticed he was vomitting and then he came back in and went back to bed so i laid in bed and i heard him go to the front of the house and by the time i got back up he had vomitted 4 more times. So i decided that i would stay up with him and call into work so i could take him into the vet ASAP!well we couldn't get in til 10 am and the vet looked him over and asked if he could draw some blood for a CBC and of course i said fine go ahead. As of right now we are waiting on the results and ready to start the meds when the vet calls this afternoon.he gave GDOGS a shot in the butt to help reduce the vomitting and told me to keep him as calm as possible.
now i don't have to tell anyone here how hard that is going to be with it being halfway nice here today.I guess i just wanted to know if anyone else has had this issue with there dogs and also to ask for some of those good ol' boxer healing (((((vibes)))))as he has always been so healthy other than a MCT grade 1 when he was a puppy and a short bout with pancretitus which he got over very quickly.
I am sorry that i have been rambling on and on but i have been awake since 5 am on wednesday morning but if there are anybody that understands it is the good people of BW,so once again thanx for thinking of us.also the meds we are going to be starting are Mirtazapine 15 mg and Metronidazole 500 mg if there are any questions please feel free to ask and i will try and answer them as best as i can.

Oh dear Poor GDOGS and you!!

I would starve for 12 hours at least, only offering small amounts of cooled boiled water, enough to cover the bottom of the water bowl. Then slowly introduce a bland diet. Poached plain chicken breast or white fish - cooked in water only for both.

I hope it all clears up for you soon.
