Franklin, TN - Maggie's Bark Park Bash????

Erin- We will be looking forward to tomorrow! I think I know where that other park is, I just didn't know the name of it. It is close to the stadium, right around some neat houses and also some housing projects, it is a bit of a mixed area that is being built up nicely, I have a friend that lived there quite a while (off Woodland St) and she liked the neighborhood a lot. I house and pet sat for her and never had any problems, except on game days of course. Traffic is horrible! I just got a call that there is a b-day party on the 25th, but I don't know what time yet. My good friend was killed in Dec and it is her little girl's first birthday without her mom. I have to be there no matter what time it is at. She will be 4. I will let you know when I find out, hopefully they will have it in the evening and I can still make it.

hey everyone - we have been to all the bashes at maggies and would love to go again - we wouldn't mind trying the Shelby Dog park either, are ya'll still planning on june 25th around 11? it is a 2 1/2 or so hr drive for us so just let me know if that is still the plan.

Erin-I think we must have missed you this AM. We left with plenty of time to get there by 11, but they were doing work on a bridge on I-65 and I sat in traffic for 40 minutes! :( We didn't get there until almost 12. Sorry! We were bummed that we didn't get to see you guys. There was a gorgeous Doberman there that Killian was having fun with. Maybe next time....

That's the date & I'm so excited we finally solidified it!!!! I've never been to an official bash before - should we plan it out or just meet up & play? I've heard of some bashes having someone there for agility or things like that, but I don't know how much that would cost. Any ideas?

I hadn't even thought about having special events. I'm afraid I'm no help on ideas either. Brutus and Trinity would just love playing with the other babies. I'd probably have a hard time trying to get him to learn anything-LOL. I just hope it's not too hot. We met another couple to let our boxers play yesterday and it was so hot that the boys would barely move from under the shade tree.

for our first bash (almost 2 yrs ago) i tried to contact middle tn boxer rescue to see if they wanted to come out and promote their rescue group maybe even get some dogs adopted out but nobody ever called me back-an agility coach would be neat though.

Alright, I will be there. I won't be able to stay too long though, as I have a birthday party to go to at 2. Killian will be pooped after less than an hour anyway...My old man... See you all then!

We should be able to stay for a long while. We don't have to be anywhere until 6 that night. I can't wait!!!

I wanted to let all you guys know that I emailed Middle TN Boxer Rescue. We adopted Greta from them, and they were really nice people. They don't have very many people helping, so they may not be able to do anything at the Bash. I told them that there may be people there willing to foster or adopt (I'm hopeful it's me!!!), so maybe they will come. I'll let you all know as soon as I hear something.
