Franklin, TN - Maggie's Bark Park Bash????

Erin- You know we will be there if at all possible! We went last Sat around 11 and had a blast with some really nice dogs, but no Boxers. :( Any weekends but the last weekend of July would be good for us. (We will be on vacation as long as I can find a dog sitter.) It would be great to get other boxers together and have a big playdate!

K8IE - I think we're going to be the only ones!! I missed the bash in March so I guess we won't get one until next year. :( :(
I guess what we'll have to do is have a 'mixed' bash. I know of at least 5 other dogs that would love to play! As long as I give everybody a couple week's notice, they should be able to come, no problem. This weekend is just too short of a notice, and I will be out of town next weekend. Possibly the weekend after? I will talk to some people and see if we can get something together for that weekend. That will be June 18th - about 11. I'll keep you updated!
Have you been to the park this week? I'm wondering if it's muddy. I want to take Greta tomorrow but I don't want her to get all nasty. I'm going to go by after work & check it out. If it's not too bad we'll go tomorrow at 11. If it's gross then we may wait.

We would love to bring our babies to a boxer bash, but Trinity starts obedience class this Sunday and will have to be there every Sunday at 2 p.m. for eight weeks. It would be about a four hour trip for us, so we'd have to come on a Saturday and leave on Sunday morning. Any good pet friendly places to stay there where we could bring our two?

Erin- Darn it! My mom has recruited me (very willingly, of course) to volunteer at the fund raising fair for the Children's Home here in town that she works at on the 18th. I don't know what it is about June, but every year the month will start so open and then things start getting crazy. So far though the other Saturday mornings are open until the end of July.

gtntuf - There is a Baymont Inn (615.791.7700) in Franklin that's around $50-$70/night. I've heard good reviews about this place. There's also a Ramada (615.791.4004) in Franklin that's a little cheaper than the Baymont. It's about $50-$60/night. I've heard this one is good and bad. I don't know for sure though. There's a Homestead (615.771.7600) in Cool Springs (which is basically Franklin if you're familiar with the area). It's about the same as the others, and it's fairly new. The only other one I know of that allows pets is the Days Inn (615.790.1140). It's in the same range as the others too. I can't vouch for any of these places, since I haven't stayed there myself, but they should be ok. They're all pet friendly!
A good place to look is www.bestpetfriendlyhotels.net. You can call them or book online. I'd let you just stay at my house, but I only have a one bedroom condo. :( With several dogs & people, that just wouldn't work!

Thanks wnt2adopt. Once a date gets set, I will look for a place to stay. I'm sure I can talk DH into it. We could even come down on Friday night and the puppies could be freshly ready to play on Saturday morning. They could sleep all the way home on Saturday. The 25th is a great date for us if it works for everyone else. My BDay is that week and I could make it my BDay trip--I love to visit Nashville. Trinity will have had all her boosters by then, too, so I wouldn't have to worry about letting her play. I'm excited because this will be our first bash.
