She is a lil One!

I am worried about her mainly because she was stray and also because she is the same body length and height as my six month old cat. So she is either, tiny because of genetics or because she is still a baby herself! And if that is the case this was probably her first heat. I know that isn't good for dog's but I wasn't sure about cats!

Do you know anything about them being around other female cats? Will my other kitty sophie accept the kitty's or will she try to hurt the babies? That is making me really nervous too!

If she is still a baby herself & this is her first heat cycle, she will not have any more than 3 babies, if that many. I don't think your female cat will hurt the babies, but if you have a male tom, he will. They kill kittens that aren't theirs, so she will come in season again & he will mate with her,& some have been known to kill their own , so she will come in season again.LOL, Hanley

Nope

She is a girl kitty and she keep's following the new one around and grooming her! We just had sophie spayed so we wouldn't have kitten's even though she is an indoor cat accidents happen! And then I pick up a stray who is pregnant! Imagine the Irony! I was rubbing her tummy last night which she seem's to really enjoy and I felt 3 little lumps so It was kinda funny that you said that! I have a couple people lined up for kitten's but if there are 3 I am going to need to find one more good home! I wish I could keep them all but that would probably kill me and I jsut don't have the time for 5! I have to scoop the poop everyday now instead of every other day! We are taking her to the vet tomorrow! I am just in love with the little girl at this point!

Dozer on the other hand is starting to think that she is a toy.... Sophie plays with him and plays rough! But I don't want him to think he can do that with lila! I don't want him to hurt the kitten's! She stays out of his reach for the most part but he is already bigger than the average boxer! Just the other day he thought he could chase a squirrel and about ripped my shoulder out of the socket! It is still sore!

He didn't care if I wanted to go or not we were GOING!

I do believe what Hanley said about male cats killing or hurting the babies, that will happen. My cat had her first litter of kittens from her first heat cycle and had six kittens, so to say she will not have more then three is just false hope. I have known them to have anywhere from one to eight the first heat.

The Vet said

That she was pregnant but suprisingly enough she isn't that far along! My vet said that most of the stray cat's around the area that I found her are commonly fatter because the restaurants throw away All their old food so she has probably been chowing down on that to fatten up for the winter!

The vet said she probably had about 20 days or less left to go and that she really couldn't Feel any more than 3 lumps in her tummy either! I hope there are only 3 Wow I would really have a zoo on my hands!

The vet gave her some shot's and raccines but she said that she may not have needed them... Apparently there is a woman who lives out on the economy who traps the strays and takes them in to get fixed and vaccinated! What a lovely lady she must be! I wonder how many of these pusses have made their way across her doorstep before she decided to get the ones she couldn't take in fixed

I really can't wait for her to have those babies. Oh yeah and for thoses of you who said she looked like an egyptian Tortie! She "from what the vet said"
Mix of egyptian Tortishell and a pixie bob? I don't know what the second one was so I looked it up and it is originally from the U.S.! And it is a mix of a tabby and a bob Cat!!!!! Who would have thought! She is really gorgeous though!

That was so nice of you, and I'm glad they all get along. You couldn't have gotten her a better Christmas present if you tried. How about the name pumpkin?

And now I need help with her "other name" Like my kitty Sophie Is Sophie "kins" and Dozer is Dozer "kabob" I can't think of anything that sounds better than Lila "belle"!

I like Lila Belle! Our baby Laila is pronounced the same way and we call her Laila Belle all the time.. It kind of fits because she has now learned to ring the bells hanging on the back door knob when she wants to go out.. Very beautiful kitty! Congratulations on your new addition! :)
