I must say I am very glad also that Loki asked this question, I too have been wondering what kidney beaning was since I found this site. Now that I know, Buddy does it all the time! He's so cute!!

My 9 week old pup does a walking kidney bean already. When we come home, when he greets our other dogs, or whenever he is happy. Still waiting on the "woo-woo song"

The woo woo song is just as wonderful as the kidney bean dance! I'll never forget the first time we heard it! We couldn't stop laughing. :D Of course, at the time we didn't know it had a name. Rudy is 12 weeks old now and finding his voice--the woo woo is getting better every day :o

Bax does the bean and the walking bean, but the best is the "jackhammer bean" where he beans and jumps with his front legs simultaneously. We call it the "Happy Dance".

Jordi has been kidney beaning from 8 weeks old since I got him, but I'm till waiting on the woo woo song. My previous boxer Bianca use to do both, her woo wooing was so cute, I hope Jordi does it eventually but I dont think he will cause Bianca was doing this from very young. She use to say "Volta" which means walk in greek ..........it sounded abit like arroorrrrraaaaa LOL

Whoa!! Glad I asked. I felt stupid, but didn't see the need to prolong the feeling. I knew you guy's wouldn't let me down, at least haven't yet. So that's Kidney beaning!. Loki does this all the time, I thought it was a sign of submission and I didn't want him being THAT submissive! Now I know. Thanks alotcool2icon

I think we finally got a little "woo-woo" this weekend. Hershey is so quiet and I've been trying to get him to "speak" to no avail. Saturday nite, he was in his crate relaxing. I tried to coax him out a few times, but he would have no part...just chillin'. The family was watching TV in another room and all of a sudden, he started huffin' and puffin' and readjusting in his crate and woo-wooing. He did it 3 or 4 times until I went and talked to him. I guess just frustrated that he couldn't get comfy and "crying" about it. He's such a big lug!! lovicon

I just love their little kidney bean dance. Ever dainty Five does a beautiful little dance when we come home....but Big Lug Tyson does his own variation. We call it the "Flying Kidney Bean". This is where he jumps up and does a complete 360. And this usually happens in the very small hall and I get clobbered all of the time. Gotta love em.

Thank You Loki!

now we all know what kidney beaning is! It's funny though, my lab/collie/heeler x has perfected the woo-woo song (maybe that is because Daisy can't hear) but Daisy doesn't really Kidney bean.

She does what I call the Seal Dance.

she flattens her ears on the back of her head, begins to snort, wags everything from the ribcage back FURIOUSLY while she does these little half leaps into the air with her front paws, landing in play position. (Remember wayne & _____ skit from SNL? I'm not worthy? kind of like that bow)

But with all the singing and dancing when I get home- my dogs are more than worthy of being spoiled and loved to bits!!

It's makes home the only place I really want to be (unless we go for a swim in the river...)
