This has got to be one of the most disgusting things I have ever experienced with my Daisy (or anyone actually). Ok, here goes:
Thursday night things were a little bit crazy (as usual in my home). I talking to my parents, yelling at my daughter to take her shower already and nagging at my son to practice his trumpet (when did I turn into a nag???) Anyway, I stopped when I saw Daisy sneaking around the basement door. We all stopped because Daisy is not allowed in the basement alone because that's where the cat litter boxes are...
I said "Daisy?" and when she turned to look at me I saw that her entire muzzle was covered in cat litter! I wiped her nose and tryed to swab her mouth with a little bit of listerine (her breath was DISGUSTING if you can even imagine) and went to survey the damage downstairs. She had pretty much cleaned out what ever was in the litter boxes from the day (the boxes are cleaned out at least twice as day).
So anyway, we went about our business and just kept a more watchful eye on Miss Daisy.
Friday morning rolled around and she showed no interest in her breakfast. She wasn't acting any differently otherwise so I just picked it up and figured I'd use it for her dinner. No sense wasting a whole meal! So when it was time to go to work I put Daisy in her crate and off I went.
Later that afternoon I get a phone call at work from my mother. It turns out that the kitty poo did not agree with Daisy's tummy (hence the uneaten breakfast) and she had thrown up 4 times in the last 10 minutes. The vomit had the most disgusting odor of vomit mixed with poop!! Ewwwwww!! She was acting fine other than the vomitting. When I got home to work she came beaning over to me with her big stuffed lamb and promptly puked all over the lamb and the hallway! The odor hit me and I almost got sick!
Needless to say, the floor was washed, candles were lit (to mask the odor) and all of Daisy's toys were washed. I think Daisy may have learned a very valuable lesson regarding kitty poo. At least, I hope she has! Now I need to build some sort of a kitty shelf to keep it out of snacking distance - just in case!
