Goose poop

My 8 mon. old brindle boy looks forward to spending weekend afternoons w/mom & dad taking long walks around a pond near our house. It seems to be a pit stop for geese flying south for the winter. There must have been over 300 of them there Sunday. Silly me, I thought Logan would be so excited running along the shore...chasing one here and there. Heck no, he acted totally oblivious to the actual birds. He was sucking up goose poop like it was the best thing he had ever eaten. Usually we even start to say "leave it" and he does. We finally had to take him to a different part of the park. Gross...yuck, pooh, icky.

OMG - I am laughing so hard! It is so good to know that I am not alone. I mean, I know that other pups have snacked in the forbidden cat box before but knowing about these other experiences...I feel better!

Mandy - I am so sorry about your cat - that is terrible.

Tina - the chain is a great idea - I'm going to try that one!

Thanks everybody!

A couple of years ago I was outside with my parents working in the front yard of our house. Our shih tzu was outside with us - or so we thought. A few minsutes after we realized he was gone, he comes running back around the front of the house...covered head to tail in some kind of poop!! It was so gross!! he must have found a pile of somebody's poo and gone to town. The worst part was that we had to wash the poop off of him - now talk about GROSS! We got gloves and sprayed the poor pup down with the hose - no way were we touching him! =)

Yeap. This is an almost everyday thing at my house. I think I've blocked out the litter box for now though. I did go to petsmart to try to find the Booda box, guess what, 35 minute drive, they had the bottoms, and not the tops!!!!!! What the h&*% good is that gonna do?

OMG that is nasty. :o
So far (fingers crossed) Oscar has not been a poop eater of any kind. I can't imagine having to clean that up. I have a low tolerance for smells and just poop scooping with a poop shovel and rake makes me gag. So that would have made me barf for sure.

My Aunt has a couple of English springer spaniels and they LOVE poop. Especially fresh cow poo. They roll in it and come home green. Nasty.

I was that way too, before I had kids. Someone told me once, when you have kids, something happens to your sense of smell. I laughed then, but now I believe it.

Try picking up poopy or peepee diapers torn apart all over the den. They are literally hovering as i change my baby's diaper. I've learned to never leave them even 2 minutes while I get the phone. They eat everything and then throw up or poo for 2 days. Serves them right hehehe. Does anyone know why they do this? Someone told me it was dominance. Is this true?
