Yep - I'm on my second one.

First I had an upright DC04 Absolute - which was fantastic.

This time as I only have carpet upstairs and the dogs stay downstairs, I have gone for a cylinder DC08 Animal.

I Love it - just wouldn't have another brand now.

We have two for almost a year, won one. So we have a new spare. So far so good. Our seems to work fairly well, I like it that you can take it apart and clean it. Watch local new a couple week, good housekeeping and they rated it number 6, it has the most suction, but cheaper models supposedly clean better. Who knows?

I'm glad i read this Topic. I have been looking at them for a while. We are having a new house built and it will be the perfect time to get one. I read about the animal model. We will have stairs. It sounds like the animal model will reach also. Are any of you making a commission on these?

My birthday was the 18th December, so my hubbie bought me one for combined birthday and Christmas present. When people ask what I got, they seem to think, how boring, getting something to do housework with. They just don't understand how pleased I am with it. We have been considering putting tiles down for some time. but the carpet looks so much better now, I think I can put up with it for longer. Thoroughly recommend it!!
