Dressing our boxers

What is it about boxers, that people tend to dress them? I was raised w/ different dogs and I have had 2 labs on my own and we have never dressed them. But then, we get Ruby, and we dress her. Maybe it's because we know they are cold?? Who knows, but it cracks me up looking at the pictures in the gallary.

( I take it back...one time, my kids did put my bra on my lab. It really was quite a site.)

Mason will not wear anything! :( I wish he would. He won't even let other dogs wear anything! He used to pull bandana's off my golden retriever when they'd come back from the groomer.

If we put a bandana on Mason, he'll keep tucking his head down until he finally can grab the end of the bandana. Then he'll keep pulling until it finally comes over his head! :rolleyes: We fianlly stopped trying since he got so good at it he could get a bandana off in less than 5 minutes! :confused:

I would like to get Skye a baseball cap. I tried on a couple of different types at Petsmart, but their heads are too large

I'm sure it's why they're so smart:p

We havnt bought anything for Harley, its almost summer and he'll probably grow out of anything anyways... he'll be 12 wks in a few days. But, he does have an old onesie from his skinsister that he wears when its chilly out. Its yellow and white striped and I've cut a U shape into it on the bottom, to keep it clean. I think he likes it, but sometimes he'll try to pull it off... it looks like a little muscle shirt on him, SOOO cute!

Rubydoo: you make me laugh!! Did you by chance get a pic of the lab??? LOL

Evie & Adam will wear bandana's but they pull them off of each other! The best I have been able to do is a Harley Davidson Denim Jacket for Halloween- only long enough to get a pic tho! (one of these days I will upload those photos!)

YES, I just had to take a picture of our lab in my bra. When I learn how to upload pictures to this site, I'll include it w/ the other pictures. LOL:D

We put a sweater on Ruby sometimes when she goes out. We bought one because she seems so cold when she's outside. Her poor belly is just skin.....she has to be freezing. Anyway, we were at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago. We saw some dog sweaters. My husband made a comment like..."if it doesn't cost more than $10., then we'd buy it." Evidently it was on sale because it cost a little under $3.00. What a steal...and better yet, it was OSU's colors! Go bucks! And yes, Ruby looks so cute in it.

I love dressing up dogs. My girl will wear anything, but I don't think hats sit well with her. :p

I am gonna make sure to train my next dog the same way to like being dressed as a young one! :D

I have a great pic from when my step daughter put her bikini on my brindle boy. Well, um ok........I admit it......I was the one that put the bikini on the dog.

Cute pics of a boy dog in an itsy bitsy teeney "weeney" bikini, if ya know what I mean.

Mason dresses up for halloween every year ( this past year he was Batman!) I have some pics in my gallery. He doesn't seem to mind and the neighborhood kids think it is great! He is the talk of the neighborhood!
