Dream interpretations anyone?

Thanks for the interpretation of my recurring dream in my earlier post.
I remembered that I did have a terrible dream years ago that still haunts me.

My mother committed suicide when I was 12 years old. In my dream (as an adult) my mother is chasing after me and actually stabs me in the hand. When I woke up my hand was extremely sore and painful in the exact spot that I had been stabbed (in the dream).

This dreamed scared the heck out of me. I was never afraid of my mother and never had any reason to be afraid of her. We had a wonderful child/parent relationship. Just curious as to why I would dream that my mother was trying to and eventually does end up hurting me?

Thanks,
Susi & Cami

Just jumping in again because I'm interested in what the response will be to Susi's dream of being hurt and then waking to find that you do actually hurt in the same exact spot you dreamed of!! This happens to me alot! I dreamt of being shot in the knee...when I woke..my knee hurt like heck! And then again just the other night I dreamt that I had this big nasty boil (eww..sorry) on my leg. Again when I woke up, that same spot I dreamt of hurt like heck..but there was nothing there! Weird..!

Thanks BoxerCollie! Yes I feel I have to get past it. I am not working & that was my last job - which has me real gun shy about a job in the future. Thanks for your interpretation.

I usually only remember bits and pieces of dreams, nothing too exciting. but I had to take prednisone for a couple weeks for asthma and wow did i have vivid dreams then! I was stuck in a building with Timothy McVeigh (OKlahoma City bomber) ansd I was trying to get away, but he kept finding me and saying not to worry he wouldn't hurt me just everyone else! Very colorful and vivid.
Then I dreamed my DH was on death row! (the worst he ever got was a traffic ticket in real life.) He kept saying over and over he wanted peanut butter & jelly for his last meal!
I know these dreams probably make no sense and it was the medicine but man were they strange!
Very cool thread BTW

The recurring nightmare that I have which only happens about 3 to 4 times in a year is that I am the victim of a home invasion. Someone comes in and takes either me or me & siblings hostage. It usually takes place when I am a child and in one of the apartments that we lived in back then but there have been a few times where I am an adult in the dream but it always seems to take place in one of the apartments that we lived in when I was a kid.

I have a reoccuring dream of being "out of uniform." This is very upsetting to me in my dream. I joined the Army right after highschool and during that time there were many inspections while in formation. I always passed the inspections, though. Also, recently I dreamed that Gunther lived with me in the barracks. What is odd about this is that no one from my civilian life ever crossed over into my Army dreams. I've been out of the Army for over twenty years.

I have this nightmare as a child. I am 27 now and can still remember it as though I just dreamt it.
I have always had a fear of the moose of the childs show the Cucumber Club. The moose would always chase me but I would always have something snapping at my feet while I was running away. To look at it it is not a frightening moose a friendly childhood character but for me it was constant nightmares. What does this mean?

clarification on my dream

oh, just wanted to mention that in my dreams, the "out of uniform" only means only that I'm missing my rank, or my hat, or something like that. I am fully clothed in my dreams........this is a fun thread.

Cool Thread

I don't remember my dreams so I am going to try your recommedations and tape my dreams when I wake up. Every now and then I wake up and think to myself how cool it was that I actually dreamt, but not that I am trying to recall them, I can't.

The only dream I can remember is a recurring nightmare I've had a few times over the years. I'll be sleeping, in my dream, and hear someone come into the house then the room I'm sleeping in. It's never anyone I know though and they are there to hurt me. I can never wake up though to get away from them. In one dream they started choking me and I finally woke up. Obviously when I woke up there was nobody there. Is this the same/similar as when you wrote: Eyes too heavy to open usually signify a great emotional or physical exhaustion. So does dreaming that you're sleeping.?

I'm going to start the log to find out some more...this is cool to hear others.

I'm always dreaming that I'm back in high school and can't find the room I'm supposed to be in for class and I'm just wandering around the hallways. And it's the real school I went to. Am I lost in life?!
