Today was the beginning of lock-down. They both went in their crates. Yesterday, I went and saw Two Towers after work, so my grandfather let the dogs out for me. I came home at 7:30, and this time the clean trash bags, and ripped plastic cups, and plastic baggies were all over the place, and everything that was on the stove (spices), and a few dirty dishes from that morning were on the floor. The dishes were in the sink! My house now smells like lemon pepper. The barrier was still in place, so that means that they are jumping over the crates. And I have the proof...as I was cleaning this mess I stand up, turn around, and there is Mabel standing on Reilly's crate looking at me.
So this morning they each got two PB kongs in their crates, and collars taken off in preparation. Reilly's crate has two ratchet ropes that can stand 1200lbs around the whole crate, plus 2 bungee cords holding the door. And Mabel went in her crate with no problems. I left a radio and light on for company. Wish me luck! I'm going home at lunch to check on them.
