Oh yes I think she certainly is purebred. My Ali doesn't have the scrunched up face like some boxers I've seen but I've seen lots of boxers with her look too and she's beautiful to me and that's all that matters. By the way your baby is adorable!!

I too see only 'boxer' when I look at her! She's similar to my Kirby. He has a slightly longer nose. Shae has always had a short nose and a LOT of wrinkles. Yours has beautiful coloring!

She is absolutely beautiful and she looks all boxer to me. It just looks like she has a longer snout. Sarge has a scrunched snout but his playmate Boxer, Rocky is a boxer and has the longer snout just as your does

I am currently going through the same thing with my beloved Sissy! Everyone asks me what she is mixed with, even though the guy at the pet store told me she was American Boxer and German Boxer mix. I have done some research online and found one article that stated that the biggest difference between American and German Boxers is the length of the snout, the American Boxer having the longer snout. Sissy has a longer snout and her jowls aren't as droopy, otherwise I believe she looks just like a boxer. I read through the replies that you received and saw that someone said that their looks change as they mature, so I figure her jowls will "droop" more as she gets older. I'm afraid that I think your puppy is of mixed breed. For the exact reasons that I think the OP's puppy IS purebred, I think that yours is not.

The photos you have in your gallery are quite small and a bit blurry, so it's not that easy to be definitive... However, based on what you've got uploaded, I would not have any confidence that your pup is a purebred boxer. It is not because the length of muzzle is a lot longer than either the American or FCI breed standards describe (which are actually just different descriptions of identical proportions), per se, but because of it's shape. It would be interesting to see a larger photo, and how he develops. But I can see no sign of the square, undershot jaw of a boxer (is she undershot at all?). This pup appears to have the scissor bite of a hound - which is the exact opposite one would expect to see. That, along with the missing mask, and tapering head ARE some of the usual giveaways that the pup is probably a mix (and that are all absent in the OPs case).

Not everyone who asks that question really wants an answer - so I would add that it does not change the fact that he is a fantastic puppy You should in no way take the above as a slight, or even remote suggestion that he's inferior. It is neither.

I am not disappointed at all! It doesn't matter to me what breed she is. She is the most adorable and loving little pup I have ever seen. I just want to sound half way intelligent when people ask me what breed she is. I appreciate your feedback, thank you very much!

Good Pups do deserve to be loved unconditionally, so it's pleasing to see someone NOT fazed by an opinion on their pup's ancestors (which, after all, is only an opinion anyway, and even if correct doesn't change a thing about the actual dog).
