Sounds like things are looking up!

Hey, I'm glad to hear he's doing better! As for bedding, for a week or so, when Buford was at his worst, I actually slept on the floor next to his super- plush dog bed. He usually sleeps with us, but I was too afraid that we'd roll over on him and hurt him or something.

This is such a frustrating illness to go through, I'm so glad your sticking with him and seeing him through it! So many people would just give up.

That hydro-bath sounds awesome for him, I bet Buford would have loved that, it must be really easy on their joints and good for his muscles.

Well my computer hasn't been working right.... so I haven't been able to talk to you guys!!!! (boy did that drive me nuts!!!) I took dozer back to the vet today and SOME MORE BAD NEWS!!!! but hes not feeling that bad he seems happy but very sleepy. He has another problem its called PANOSTEITIS. Another thing to deal with in his lil. bones on top of the HOD!!! His front legs are so swolen!! Its Alful!!! I feel so bad!!!! He was up all night last night crying!!! I slept with him last night. I was so uncomfy!!! I was on his bed with him. And boy did that hurt!!! We are gonna try a new steroid in the moring. I hope it does something for him. They said it would help the pain. I HOPE IT DOES!!! I give all the credit to my lil.guy hes a trooper!!! I would be a wreck if I was in his paws! We have to take him back next week for a check up. He didnt want to eat a thing yesterday but he did today just abit. My grandfather gave him some tea today its for your stomach.My papa is mexican
he has alot of old remeds. He said it would make him better. And I think it worked!! He hasn't gottin sick today. I just might have to do that all the time when his lil.belly is upset!!! I have a very positive attitude now I feel really really bad for him .....But I'm not going to let him give up & I wont eather!!!
I just dont want him to hurt that is the # 1 thing that my vet is going to fix they are worried about the pain and now that he is on the steroids what pain meds they can put him on that wont hurt him. Thats about all I know now but I will let you know how hes doing. Thanks for checking up!!!

hi, i've just seen this thread and you must be going through rollercoaster feelings, poor Dozer and poor you... he is very very lucky to have you looking after him, he sounds very much loved. Now I'm going to look at this picture.... sounds gorgeous... please keep updating, hoping for the very best for Dozer.

oh thank you!!! I kinda have been going up and down on this whole thing we thought ( my boyfriend and I) that we would have to put him down I DONT WANT TO DO THAT!!! I love this lil.guy with all my heart! I wouldnt be able to do that to any of my dogs unless they were in really bad shape. I think he will pull through this. And I have all the faith in the wourld that he will. I just hate him being in pain.... but when I put him on the new meds he seems to be walking alot better. He will drag himself around the floor so he can play but when we go outside he will walk. I JUST THINK HE LIKES GETTING CARRIED AROUND ALL THE TIME. he ha he. But I dont mind it. He gained 5lbs.
so we are all most up to 40lbs. WOW does he get heavy!!! All we have around this house is stairs!!!!! my arms are killing me!!! His spirits are up today. And i will keep you up on his progress if my stupid computer works!!!!!
Im ready to throw it out the window. I just got I in december!!!!! KEEP UP THE VIBES AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!

Back To The Vet!!!!!!

We went back today for a check up. He is doing better. I guess. He has been walking better and eating alot. the new meds that he is on He is gonna eat alot. thanks for all the help guys!!!

Dozer Is Doing Great!!!!!!!!!

He is doing wonderful. I know I said that not to long ago but hes great!!!!
he ran last night I havent seen him do that in so long. His spirits are so high these past couple of days!! I just hope it stays that way!!!! We are haveing so many problems with him takeing his MEDS.. any ideas??? He hates it his been choughing them back up or he nibbels on my hand like its a bone!!! I started putting it in peanut butter and sometimes he spits that right out! what do I do hes getting smarter on the pill thing!!!!! HELP!! My hands hurt!!!
Is peanut butter good for him with all his troubles?? Thanks for the help I need it.

Thats terrific about Dozer! You must be sooo happy, I know I am.
How about trying putting his pills in a large marshmellow. A girl I work with at the vets uses it for her dogs because they have allergies. Just a thought. Or maybe cream cheese?

I didnt think of that!!!!! I have been putting it in penut butter but I dont know if that is safe for him. I will try it Thanks he is still doing great!!!!
