I just looked at the website you gave and as I was reading, I realized that I had read this story and treatment advice back when I was panicing and searching every website I could on this disorder. I remeber writing all the info down and being prepared to provide it to my vet, but luckily the Z-pack(prednizone) worked wonders on my baby. I'm not really sure why they uped your meds, but I am a little concerned that Dozer's not getting any better, especially with the threat of putting him down:(. And he's soo young I hate to see soo many mg's. of meds. It DOES take a while and is a slow process to overcome, however, I'm not sure that the meds (or diet) he's on are really working (I'm not a vet, but I have had 1st hand experience with this) and this just doesn't sound good at all. If I were you, I would go with my gut feeling and what I thought was best for my baby.(even if it meant going against my vet at this point) The Tx on doglogics.com is certainly good, but I also had a good and quick experience with Z-pack and changing his food to adult. Well I hope I'm helping you, I really feel like I'm rambling, but in all honesty I don't like to hear that the meds are increasing instead of decreasing. Follow your heart as far as Tx goes and I wish you much luck and will be here for follow-ups. Oh, Axl also had Demo. mange also, and was on a few rounds of IVomec, which he hated, but really worked, he now has a beautiful coat. )))))))))))Healing vibes((((((((((( and good luck again.
