just a little minor spell every now & then, nothing that seems too serious. Our appt is Monday. On one hand I'm anxious as I'd like to know if it is his heart or not, on the other hand I'm kinda scared cause...what if it is?? I just keep telling myself, if it is, we'll deal with it, if is isn't then we can move on to something else. I have to stay strong for him and not show my anxiety about it. We've really been having to push him to drink water. He doesn't drink enough which can bring these episodes on too. He just doesn't seem to be worried about drinking water. Hubby & I are constantly making him go drink a glass of water. I even took him to Wal-Mart and had him pick out some of their flavored water thinking maybe he would be more likely to drink it. He didn't care for it. He said it was too carbonated, not like water at all! I even tried to be cute and said, look your not a camel, you must drink water every single day and plenty of it or your going to be sick. It's your health we're talking about here, not mom being a nag. I don't know what else to tell him. Hopefully if we continue to reinforce and the docs do too, he'll listen up. I'll post after our appt and let you know what we find out. Thank you so very much for asking. I really appreciate your concern. It's nice to know people are thinking about us.

Went to the cardiologist yesterday with my son. The appointment turned out well! They did another EKG and an echocardiogram. They said his heart looked good, no abnormalities. *sigh of relief* and that they didn't see anything heart related that should be causing his symptoms. She said she felt like he needed to drink more fluid (water & gatorade), 64 oz/day and he needed to up his salt intake. I don't regulate our salt or anything but apparently he needs more to retain the fluid he does take in and also to make him thirsty so he'll drink more. She said if he does these things that she feels like it will practically eliminate his problem. She said if not, then there was an option of medication but we all hate to go that route if we can control it otherwise (diet, etc). she put him back in PE and activities as tolerated. Wrote a note to school that he should be allowed to carry a water bottle all day so he can continously have access to a drink. She said he should come home at the end of the day with a empty bottle. We bought small packages of chips, pretzels, peanuts, etc so he can snack when he gets home and also carry some with him in his backpack. Just wanted to give an update.

Thanks for the update. so glad it's not his heart. I was kind of worried. hopefully the increase in fluids will solve the problem. So glad it's not serious. i have kids around the same age and I can't bear the thought of one of them having a serious problem.
