Mine are allowed everywhere. I figure its their house too and they might as well be comfortable. I am sure they would sit there anyways when I wasnt looking.

Mine are also allowed everywhere. Stephen (my fiance) is allergic to them and grew up without any pets but he is the one who calls them up on the bed to cuddle. When Tucker came to stay with us for awhile, we started to encourage them to sleep on the floor which was rough at first but now they would rather sleep on the floor. Abbie shares the pillow with me every night though. Tucker will be going home the end of this week so maybe Brady will be back in bed with us again.
They take over the couch and leave no room for me so I sit on the floor or in the chair (unless I am under them on the couch)

It would be easier to list what he's not allowed to get on. How can a King rule the castle and have to follow rules. DH rules were when we got him 1. no bed, 2. no computer room, 3. no upstairs, 4. sleep in the crate. That lasted about 2 days 
A couple of days ago Indy was burning on the bed and my DH said "you are not even supposed to be on the bed, remember the rules". We both laughed and joined Indy on the bed.

Yeah, we had our rules all made up before we even brought little Beau home. He would not be allowed on the furniture or the beds and he definitely would not be a lap dog. YEAH RIGHT!!!!
I can't think of any places the dogs aren't allowed. They are family members....we don't make our skin kids sit/sleep on the floor, so the furkids don't either. We started out trying to enforce the "no furniture" thing, but when the Jack Russell's favorite seat is on the back of the couch looking out the window, how could I make Beau stay off!!?! Beau's favorite thing to do on the couch is to run at it full blast, jump up and spring off it and do a back flip in the air. Nutty dog!!!!

Killy is at home on the big living room sofa that is covered with an blanket just for her. When we have guests we take off the blanket and Killy is back to her own bed and all the guests admire her: what an educated dog! When everybodys gone, the blanket is back and Killy makes herself at home on the sofa and we need to fight with her for space in front of the tv....

Hoss is only 11 weeks, but hes not allowed on the furniture and our bed. I think I'm the only one so far who doesn't allow this. Its funny. I wonder if thsi will change as he gets older and bigger. I just grew up in a very clean house and we had one dog, a sheltie. He shed a lot, so my mom never wanted our sheets and couch full of hair. I guess that has just stayed with me. Hoss has a HUGE pillow/bed next to the couch and he loves that. My bf and I will sit on the floor with him and snuggle almost everynight. Also, he is in his crate at night, but when hes old enough, I plan on him sleeping on HIS bed. Hes awful cute and sometimes I wonder if he will one day be on the furniture!

Well of course Kanin gets on the furniture and bed! He even has his own chair in the living room that I bought especially for him. It is called a chair and a half. He loves it!! And he sleeps in beds with us - first had a queen size bed but soon learned that it was not big enough so we now have a king size bed!!

Sascha isn't allowed in our bedroom, therefore she's not allowed on our bed. Other than that all furniture is fair game. We live live in a loft that was converted from an old lumber warehouse, and it still has the original concrete floors. There's no way I could make her lay on those cold hard floors all day. Plus if she couldn't be up on the couch, how would I cuddle with her??
