Yes, they are allowed on the couch and the bed. We got them for companionship and sitting on the floor at my feet is to far away to cuddle. We also have a leather couch for durability and ease of cleaning and sacrificial/washable blankets and quilts. I think we drag as much of thier hair on things, just on our clothes, as they do. My chair at work even has dog hair on it.

Our furniture is off limits to the furbies. They have their own beds in the living room and in the utility room where they sleep at night. However we have a waterbed and we have to watch Breezie because she likes to get on it. She especially likes to grab a toy and run across it since it wiggles under feet and I'm afraid she will get a hole in it somehow.

Everyone once in a while, I will let Libby and Rocky up on the couch. The bed is off limits. Rocky sleeps in his crate while Libby has taken over a $150.00 papasan chair.

CJ is allowed in the bed with us to hang out but she sleeps in her crate. Kenny has made it very clear that she is not allowed on the couch so that our guests can leave without being coated in hair.... She is content to lay by our feet in the living room but definitely takes over the bed until we boot her out of it.

My boxer allows me on HIS couch, chair, and queen size bed!

LOL EXACTLY! Barkley allows my wife and I to sleep on the bed and sit on the couch too! But recently, I have been lying on the floor while watching TV... something I never did before. It's pretty much his couch now, it seems.

The only part of our house that is off limits is our daughter's room. He has already eaten about 12 - 15 baby socks : P

Ginger is allowed everywhere at our house: I often say she's the Sofa queen!
She sleeps with us but comes in at around 4-5h in the morning -- she usually starts her night on the couch. But it depends on how she feels, she has «phases» and right now, she comes to bed at the same time as mommy and cuddle up (wich I looooooove!)
She also has her own bed right beside ours.
One thing though: we didn't let her on the furniture at the beggining, we waited until she was potty trained.

Ruby is allowed on the settee, my bed, the kids bed, this is a family home so I just think she's family and can go everywhere we do...except the kitchen table!

My girl goes wherever and anywhere she wants too. I couldnt imagine not letting her on the sofa or bed with me. My parents used to let their dog on the sofa till they got leather, and it was hard for my girl at first to learn not to go on their furniture but she now knows.

Isis has free roam of the house, sofas, beds, carpets.... spoiled ol' dog.

The only room I keep off limits is the parlor where I have some beautiful, light coloured furniture. She can go in when we are in there, but no ling on the sofa in there !!!

Lola allows us to sit on her sofa,
I think because they don't shed that much I don't really mind to be honest. Our other dog Tuppence never attempted to get on furniture ever but Lola just gets on and takes all the space up.
