NOPE..not allowed on the furniture. Blizzy was never interested in being on the couch, chairs or our bed..thank goodness. I loved my girl to pieces but cannot deal with dogs on my furniture. I have somewhat of an allergy to dogs (well moreso, Boxers fur..). If it pricks into my skin, it causes a terribly itchy painful rash. If she were ever on/in my bed..I'd be a red, itchy, irritable mess.

Not to mention..my hubby isn't the biggest animal fan, and although he is ok with having pets (told him I WAS having pets..and all the doors open out just as easily as the open in if he had a problem with it)..will flip out if he finds the dog on the furniture.

Not to sure if I would want my furbabies on the furniture even if I wouldn't get a rash from them..and for those who will ask themselves..NO the cats don't sleep on the beds, couches, chairs either. They have their own beds (I'd kill for the comfort oftheir beds.) and they have lots of window seats which they rather prefer over the furniture. (they are up higher and away from my 4 yr old..heehee) Although they do like to sit on the kitchen chairs.

I guess I am the odd ball with not allowing my furbabies on the furniture...but even still my kiddos are perfectly content with what they have

Nestle and Hobart are allowed everywhere except on the living room furniture. They have their own chair in the living room and are content to lounge the day away on there. Every other space in the house is up for grabs though

I never allowed my dogs on the furniture...until Bayleigh! The only time she is NOT allowed on the furniture is when we have company.

We let Nellie on the furniture, but not in our bed. At first DH said she wasn't allowed to get on the furniture, then, lo and behold, I came home from grocery shopping one day to find the two snuggled up on the couch!!!! From then on, she's been allowed on the furniture. I wouldn't care if she slept in our bed but DH says NO WAY!! I'm not going to force the issue...he never wanted any pets, and surprising me with Nellie is probably the sweetest thing he's ever done!! :D

Cooper is allowed on the sofa, and our bed (not our daughter's)... We have benches w/ tables built onto our deck, he stands on the tables and when it's nice sits and sunbathes on the benches... occasionally we will catch him on the patio table peering in the dining room window...

I had not intended to let Frog on any of the furniture however, DH had other ideas. She was completely content with her bed until DH lifted her up on his lap and then on to the couch about a week after we got her. From that point on she felt she was entitled to be there.

Jackson sleeps on the couch at night. He occasionally gets with us on the bed during the day for a nap.

DH never had animals growing up, but has been a part of my dog loving family for 7 years now. He could not wait to get our very own dog after we bought our house and Jade, like all the other dogs in the family, is allowed anywhere she wants to go. That is why we bought leather furniture. It is easier to clean and we knew that our sweet baby Jade was going to go anywhere she felt like, and she does...

Rocky is allowed on everything although when he is on the couch I tried to make sure there is a blanket under him because its a leather couch and I don't want anything to happen to it.
