Do you have any wierd habits??

I am really weird about the window thing! I get freaked out when someone looks in a window at me *even during the day*! I think this goes back to when i was little we lived on a farm and my dad said he was going to dress up like freddy krueger and get me! What a meanie!! i also won't go into a room at night if the curtains are not closed and the light is on (so people outside can see in, but you cant see out)

For the longest time, i would always check behind the shower curtain when i got home to make sure nobody was in there....weird!

And, if i'm home alone, and it's at night, i feel way more safe when i sit outside on the porch...(so i can run if someone were to "GET ME", and neighbors would know)

Im paranoid!

Andie and Catneon, Hope not to add a new one to your list but, how do you handle money? To me money is one the nastiest germ carriers around. Just never know where that stuff has been. :eek: I think about it but, I guess I have to use it and the thoughts temporarily disappear. Definitely won't see me holding money with my mouth...yuk yuk...:D

I agree yuk! I actually use my debit (check) card a lot, I hardly ever carry cash, but when I do I prefer to wash my hands as soon as possible, and I'm very careful not to put my hands in my face while they are still "dirty"!!! It really is one of the biggest germ carriers. The first time I really got noticed how much money was dirty, was the first time I went to a casino. We played the slots machine for a while, at the end of each isle you could put your empty bucket and there was a supply of wet-naps, that's when I looked at my palms and realized they were black :eek: and smelled awfully of metal.

Ooh there's another weird thing about me! The simple tough of putting metal in my mouth gives me the shivers (no I don't have any fillings!) I have no idea why I have this reaction. In fact I cannot sit at a table with someone who uses their teeth on their forks...brrr I'm getting the shivers right now.

Am I the only one who compusively checks my alarm at least 5 times before I fall asleep at night to make sure that the alarm is set...that the volume is up...that the a.m. setting is correct...

Ok, i beginning to think i really am crazy. many of these things are just common sense. the germs, locking doors, and checking hot items. but i have to admit i have gone to bed with doors unlocked, have left oven on all night, and to be honest i dont worry too much about germs. but i do sort my clothes in the closet (long sleeves, short sleeves, dresses etc) have to firmly resist color coding them by the rainbow. i have all my books alphabetized and grouped by genre. and all my videos are grouped by genre. and god forbid if a closet or cabinet is open....i cant sleep, sit, watch tv...or anything until it is closed. i guess i am pretty neurotic.....neat and organized but neurotic.

You guys are just cracking me up! I think the only thing I can relate to is the chapstick. I'm a slob and not terribly worried about germs - I guess I kind of feel like early exposure to germs helps build a healthy immune system. The only time I'm really worried about germs is in public bathrooms that are visibly unclean. My sister more than makes up for me, though - she has serious OCD issues! For a long time, she wouldn't eat chicken cooked by anyone other than my parents because she was afraid of salmonella. Her now husband knew he was "in" when she started letting him cook her chicken!

Ok, I admit, I check my alarm clock about 10 times before I go to bed. Then if I wake up in the middle of the night, I check it again. I have to make sure that it is set for the correct time and also AM and not PM!! I also am a freak about going to the bathroom. Not germs, but emptying my bladder. If I go to the bathroom before I go to bed and then I lay in bed for 15min to watch TV, I have to go again even if it is only a little drop! If we go anywhere, I must go to the bathroom directly before we leave for fear that I might have to go again when I cant (Strange)! I will also not look into a mirror at night in the dark for fear someone bloody will appear behind me!!

I can't finish a drink of any kind. Someone called the last couple sips in a glass "backwash" and it grossed me out so bad that I have never been able to finish a drink since.

I do the bathroom thing too!! I go to the bathroom and then watch some tv in bed then have to go to the bathroom again just before I sleep. My mom never finished a drink, always leaves something in the bottom, I hate it!!! I always end up spilling it somewhere

Okay that is so not weird! I still do it when I come home and I am alone! Ever since I heard a real life situation where someone broke in and was hiding behind there.... I am thinking the next shower curtain I buy should just be see through! Heehee!

I insist on using a clean cup for each cup of coffee I drink in a day (We own a ton of mugs :D )

The cream has to be poured into the cup before the coffee, otherwise in my mind it doesn't mix the same

Hangars in the closet have to be facing the same way (the hook must face the back of the closet)

My closet has to be arranged according to colours

One biggie is the toilet paper It HAS to hang over the top, otherwise I see it as unclean

My hair has to be brushed before going to bed, and if I get up again, my hair is rebrushed before going back to bed

I will not use a thick facecloth to wash my face (Cannot stand it)

Facecloths have to be white. I just cannot use a coloured facecloth

When I grocery shop, I will not take the product at the very front, I always take one from the middle, I just think the front one has been handled by too many people

That's about it for now.
