Dogs are NOT people and therefore they do NOT think like people. Comparing your dog to your child is not an equal comparison.daisyscrazy said:You know I am pretty hot about the whole don't leave food at dog level. Last time I checked it was my house. And if my 3 yo can follow my rules so can the dogs...
True, just like I can't watch my boys 24/7. However, I can make sure that the things that I don't want them to have are out of their reach before I leave the room. If I should happen to make a mistake and leave something (food, shoes, etc.) at their level and they get destroyed, it's not their fault. I don't sit there blaming them for my mistakes. It's just not fair to them.daisyscrazy said:I can not watch her 24/7...
I'm confused by this statement. She misbehaves because she gets time out?daisyscrazy said:Daisy knows better. she does this crap because she gets time out. I will not have it.
My boys are very well behaved, but they do have the occassional slip up here and there. It's just a reminder that are not perfect and that they need to be trained throughout their lives. Not just until the problem seems to be solved.
