Lola's mum
Boxer Insane
Let the dogs out this morning after they'd had breakfast and 10 mins later they waltz back in and my kitchen floor is covered in blood
I didn't know who it came from let alone where, it was horrible. I checked them over and found that Casper's dew claw had once again ripped. It looked so horrible it made me heave.
I stemmed the blood with a towel and started ringing the vets. Took me from 7.45 - 8.30 to get through as the message was saying for emergencies ring ..... but it wasn't an emergency.
Anyway I was told to bring him straight down, the vet looked at it and said they'd try to cut it down without sedating him. Casper is a big girls blouse, took them 4 people to hold him down last time and they didn't want to distress him this time so sedated him. I had already told them before I left not to use any ACE on him and the vet said they don't on Boxers or the like. Funny how they used it on him when they neutered him then ?
I left him there and rang back at 1.45 and they'd just done it. They said he was a bit groggy but I could pick him up after work.
I've just been to get him (£120 later) and he was soaking wet & shivering so I asked whether they'd just taken him out (had just started raining) and explained how he'd not ever had a pee or poo outside of the garden and they said no he went out earlier and did nothing.
Got him home and was giving him a love and it's not rain making him wet, he is covered in pee and it's only down one side of him. He was absolutely soaking through. I've wiped him down with baby wipes and toweled him off a bit but one of his ears is still freezing and wet.
I have taken a couple of photos of my little man
