Brutus My Sweet Boy is Gone

Big B our precious sweet boy is gone. Two weeks ago Brutus had emergency surgery to have his spleen removed due to a tumor that ruptured. We found out days later that it was cancer and that his time was limited. He recovered from the surgery beautifully and was able to go on his daily walks. Just this morning dh and I took him on a walk. He was so proud and happy. I came home around 1:00pm for lunch and he meet me at the door. DH called me around 3:30 and said he wasn't doing well. I got home at 5:00pm and his gums and tongue were white. Apparently, he was bleeding out again. We didn't want him to suffer.

Brutus in the short time that he was with us brought us tons of joy, laughter, and pride. He was the happiest dog. He always had a smile on his face. Brutus loved the great outdoors and he loved making his momma happy. He was a very handsome boy.

Thank you Brutus for all the love! You gave us so much. I promise to take good care of your girls.

I'm so sorry to hear about your baby boy Brutus :( He was beautiful! I hate looking in this section...it's just so sad. Sounds like he had wonderful life with your family...made memories to last a lifetime I'm sure. Romp and play at the Bridge Brutus until you see your family again.

Sorry for your loss, I know how it feels for me it is a huge void.
I too just this past Monday (8/18) lost my Chopper due to the same reasons that caused him to pass. I didn't know if the tumor was canceres or not but was enough for him to die from the bleeding. I didn't even know he had this symptom there were no signs of him ailing from anything.

We also lost our boy in June because of a tumor that burst and bled out.
It is very sad that there is nothing we can do to help them in this situation.
